David Earle and Agnes Lindsay

What a great thrill to find my long lost GGG Grandfather and mother.
Do you know any one who is researching this family?
How do I find out who is?
Would love to know all the children in this family as we think there was a David who came out to NZ 1856 and married and I am one of the down line. He changed his name to Lindsay I think on the way out and Called himself David Earel Lindsay . They are Earl in Scotland and then Earle when they get to the states. Any help would be much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Dave Richardson email

Dennis is the nephew of Sid Reppen. He is the son of Warren Reppen. You have posted a picture of Warren's head stone.

I will post some pictures later.

Thank you for contributing.

Good idea, Bonnie, to add the Headstone. I like a site that has all the information that we can provide. :)

RE: Marion A Sprague - Fassett Cem
Thank you, Bonnie. You at least care about the descendants, unlike Sue, who is more concerned with herself, it seems. It's only the Sprague descendants that suffer. I hate that people "collect" memorials for people they are not related to, and hold on to them for no reason other than narcissism.

RE: Allen M. Mapes
Hi Bonnie, sorry I am so late getting back to you. Been traveling, and have settled in Janesville for a week or so. It looks like you have Allen Mapes placed correctly - he is too old to be the son of the other suggested couple. I have found nothing definitive yet, but will look around this week while gathering death certs and obits.

There was a man by the name of Fred Kraege who walked all the local cemeteries, wrote down the names and dates and then went to the library and looked up the obits of all these people that he could find. It took him 5 years. He then made lists and lists of those buried in Walworth and Jefferson county and donated them to the Whitewater Public Library. He got an award from some Historical society for his work on these cemeteries, sometime back in the 80's I believe. This is where I am also getting my information on who is buried in what cemetery and what their dates are and who they should be linked to as family.

Bonnie - I can look this up for you either Monday or Tuesday - I will be going to Whitewater and will stop at the Library where they have a listing of everyone buried in Calvary.

Thank you so much for the headstone photo of my 2nd Great Grand Aunt Julia Downing nee KEISER. I do not have any children listed from that marriage, but will now start "digging" in Wisconsin.... this line originated in Luzerne County, PA

Thanks again! Spence

I am requesting your permission to attach your photo of the above-mentioned gentleman's tombstone to my husband's family tree. Some of this family history "stuff" is easier when one can see a picture of the tombstone and where it is. I AM addicted! ;)
Thank you,

Tina (Haakenstad) Mathison
Hello Bonnie,
I just want to tell you that after looking at my Great Aunt Tina (Haakenstad) Mathison's information you have listed that I was really confused since these are not her children. I have had a copy of my mothers family tree that shows 5 generations of this family going back to Norway to the 1700's.

I am finally start to work on finding out more about my mothers family since she is the only living family member left within her immediate family now. I am looking up family members now to see where they are buried so I can take her to visit some of them she knew when she was little now that she is almost 70 years old.

You are correct that some of Tina's Aunts & Uncles did change the spelling of their last name prior to the 40's sometime but I am guessing it was more in the early 1900's since they arrived in Wisconsin in the 1880's. I just thought I would send you a note so you can cross reference those names. I cannot wait to start listing my family here as well!

RE: Thomas Coyle
I've been unable to find his date of birth yet, because I have been unable to nail down where he was born. I suspect Ireland. I do know that he was in NY for a bit, so suspect that he immigrated to the U.S. I am waiting on some of his military documents to be sent from a friend of mine, which might shed some light on his birth.
