RE: Michael Pletcher Memorial# 37166039 Hebron Cemetery, Tipton, Iowa
the military I believe does... I can send you the original photo from his side and his wife's that clearly show the GAR star on the side (front view. Jacie already had a photo posted that's why I didn't re-post one that I took, but I still have it. I can always try and get a hold of the township commission and see what records they have. most Cedar Co Burial records are with them and not at the court house.

RE: Memorial# 110060018 Ulrich
I have a copy of his will which does show his last name as Yorty, But researchers record his last name as Yoder, which s why I put it like that in the memorial. Let me know if I can do anything else to help you with your research. How does your Pletcher line go. Mine starts with Samuel, who came to the US with his parents, and his father died on the voyage. From Samuel it goes David - Samuel - Jacob - Josiah - Forrest - my dad - me.

Have a good day,
Daniel Pletcher

RE: Pletchers
An email with Find A Grave numbers would probably work best. I'm so busy these days, I have little time to keep up with Findagrave. Thx, Joel

Please send me links to any of the Pletchers you wish to add information to and I will transfer them. Thx, Joel

Schenck's Cemetery
Lisa, since we are both Pletcher/Schenck descendants, I thought I would share that we have over 700 relatives buried in this cemetery. Boggles the mind, the history of our families in the Howard area.

Hickory and Hillcrest
Those are locations I found on the internet. They are quite contradictory and I don't know which is accurate.

RE: Barbara Smith Memorial# 47089850
Hello Lisa,

Sorry for the very late reply on your requests. Due to lack of time and so many requests it is hard to complete them all in a timely basis. Also I have been off line for a very long time due to personal reasons.

You ask me to post grave marker photos for George, Calvin, Marguerite and Barbara Smith. I have posted them for you. Thank you for the information for their memorials. I have added it.

RE: Edward J. Smetzer in Oak Ridge Cemetery
Did a little research and found that both entries for Edward are the same person. I've added the obit I found and I've requested Find A Grave to transfer the photo to #76192320.

Thanks for additional information. I bet you are right as to why the "s" on the end of his name. Are you related to them?

Thanks for locating these two--They now appear as McDaniels--I knew there had to be a problem when I couldn't locate them. Just didn't look hard enough. Richard.

Hi Lisa, I'm sorry I'm not going to be of any help. I've no idea where the book reference came from, I may have found it on line or someone may have sent it to me. I know nothing of the cemetery either. Good luck in your search. Regards, Catherine

It's been 2 years since I walked Oak Ridge so at the moment, I have no answer for you. I'll do some checking though and let you know.

RE: Pletchers in Albin vs. Swedish Cemetery
Thanks. I don't own their pages and can't link them but I sent suggestions to the persons who can do the links. This solves my original question of the two little boys buried in Kansas.

RE: Pletchers in Albin vs. Swedish Cemetery
Thanks for getting this straight. I was pretty sure you were right but waiting to hear from you before making changes. The Swedish cemetery is now empty and she has been linked in Albin to her two infants buried in Kansas.
