The stop picture is not wood, it is a red slate type marker. This picture was taken by another one of our "cousins" many years ago. He and his wife outlines the letters with chalk. He gave me permission to put this on the site. The second marker (which is flush with the ground) was there when I took the picture in 2002.

The first picture is NOT wood; it is a type of stone that splinters with age. This picture was taken many years ago by another descendent of Jane's. This marker is no longer present in the cemetery and the smaller, flat stone marker is now in its place. I don't know when the marker was finally taken away.

RE: Hey, Red
Hello Steph: I thought about you a few days ago when I ran across some pictures you sent me years ago. Good to hear from you and hope everything is going well with you. Doing pretty well here for an old relic. Still doing a little research. Best regards, Red

RE: I remember you
My Great Grandmother was Sarah LaVanda "Sally" Kuykendall Crossno. It is good to meet another cousin. My Great Great Grandparents were Alfred Hardin Kuykendall and Sarah Louise Fort Kuykendall. If you need any help in your research, I would be glad to help.

I am starting on the research of the Kuykendall. It is real confusing with the different spellings. Narcissa would be my ggg grandmother. I am on the Cain side. Her daughter Bell married into the Cains. I will keep in touch. I will do some checking. Karen Canfield
