|evansd||Griffith photos Old Union Cemetery|
Honestly, I just wheeled by that cemetery on my way back to my home from a remote appointment. I photographed a newer section of the cemetery that I thought might contain newer graves that might not be pictured yet. When I finished I walked over to an adjacent section and just decided to photograph those 4 Griffith stones at random. I pictured 3 or 4 others nearby for no particular reason. I had no idea you had requested them but I was glad to learn the few I did were needed.

When I added the photo, I didn't realize someone had already added them. If you wish to delete the one I added, feel free to.

You are most welcome. My boyfriend's Mom grew up right there and all her relatives were buried there. We went on Mother's Day and I thought I would check for any requests....glad to help! (I also posted some more photos that I took that day on Find A Grave....) Take care.

You are so welcome, I live in IN and my husband and I went to NC so we could photograph that cemetery. Capt. John Were is my 5X great grandfather. There are a lot of my relatives in that cemetery, Dickey's, Falls, Oates, Berry, Crow and who knows who else, I still need to do a lot of research. We took photo's of every stone that we could see writing on, there are so many that are gone for good.

You are very welcome Ann. There was also a marker for James Madison Bevis 15 Jan 1840 - 8 Sept 1928. I made a photo of it. Let me know if you are interested in it.

FYI... There is snow on the ground here, but I went ahead and posted pics at Memory Hill in Marshall Co. I wanted to ask if you knew about the Critcher family out at Asbury in Marshall Co. It is Asbury cemetery(can't remember if it is the Methodist or Baptist church). Was there today finding someone and ran up on a Janie, Dixie, Conway, and Cora. They have pics posted.

|clynndel||Paulk Cemetery Florence, AL|
As I hear the Paulk cemetery is in very dire condition. I have turned it in to our cemetery committee and it will be added to the endangered list. These get a field work day on a most needed basis. I can't tell you right when as it has just been added. The review on the lookup said there were only rocks there that appear to mark graves. The committee will also map the cemetery so it's possible I may be able to photograph at that time

Hi. I went out to Artesian Cemetery in Nevada County, AR looking for Isaac McKelvy's headstone. I couldn't find it. I came back home, did a little research on the area and found this information.
It's was done by Jean and Jerri McKelvy. They show the grave is unmarked. Years ago some kids went out in that cemetery, stole, broke, destroyed and moved some of the headstones.

Did you also request Oscar and Florence Casey? I have to go back and find them. I left my husband to do it and he said he got them, but didn't, lol. I'll try again next week, weather permitting.
