Thanks for the photos. I combined the Marker Application with your photo of the oringal marker because of the 5 photo limit. Someone else already added the second marker so I couldn't use yours. But yours is better. Thanks

Marriage license for T T Atkinson & Martha Jane Girard
Hello! Can you tell me how you came to have that marriage license for Tolleson Townsend Atkinson and Martha Jane Girard? I am a direct descendant of them, and we spelled her name Girard; His name as Tollerson. Their firstborn daughter, Ada Alice, was my gg grandmother. I have pictures of her holding my mother as an infant. Ada Alice dictated her memories to our Aunt Seesie, who typed them up into a manuscript in 1942. I have 3 copies of those original msnuscripts. Ada Alice said their name was Girard, and that Stephen Girard, famous philanthropist from Philadelphia, was her mother's uncle. I can find no informstion for Martha Jane Girards parents: Lemuel and Elizabeth Girard, as written in our family information. I see you have a Martha Jane Lyle. Is there a connection thst you know of? Thank you!

Thank you for your time. If you could please respond back to me, that would be the absolute best! My email is

Elizabeth Faulkner Johns
Thank you so much for your research and your "sharing."

I noticed your entry for Elizabeth Faulkner Johns (1824-1905) and thought because of the notes included on her page that she might be part of your lineage. My husband is descended from her younger brother Thomas Peatry Faulkner. I have been trying to find more information/documentation on the John Thomas Faulkner and Cynthia McEver Faulkner family but keep finding that the "sources" are simply other family trees (many that use seemingly improbable birthdates of 1809 and 1813 given their 24 April 1822 marriage record). I found Cynthia living with Thomas in the 1860 census (with a more reasonable birthdate of about 1802) but cannot find the family in the 1850 or Cynthia in 1870 census. Numerous family trees list Cynthia's death date as 1880 in Paulding County and that she's buried in Mount Olive Cemetery in Paulding County. I assumed this was supposed to be Mount Olivet Cemetery; however, none of the inventories I've seen show any Faulkner graves. I also did not see Elizabeth Faulkner Johns' grave in these inventories and thought, perhaps, you had family history or better documentation that showed that Elizabeth Johns (and perhaps Cynthia McEver Faulkner) were indeed buried at Mount Olivet. Thanks again for your hard work.

Thanks for the research and posting.
Arthur Edgar (Ed) Eberhardt is my Grandfather on mom's side. The picture of his mom (Fanny Elise Sabine (Hommert) Eberhardt is beautiful. Grandpa Art could weave a spellbinding story second to none. He had a laid back drawl together with an adventurous spirit. Whenever he perused a map his eyes lit up. He was an accomplished logger& woodsman. He also played the concertina quite well and I still remember the twinkle in his eye when he made music. Like many who edured the depression they knew hard, hard times. Honored to be part of this heritage.

Hannah S O'Briant - Littleton D Huff
We found this information on the following WEB Page: Http://

Davie Grave Yard - Location - from Oxford - take Hwy 158W through Berea; turn right on SR 1309; turn left on SR 1311; turn right on SR 1316; turn left on SR 1314 across SR 1313 into Person County. Approximately 1/10 mi. across Person County line turn right onto farm path (old barns on left). Drive approx. 500 yards to open field on the right. Cemetery is to the left of the path across from the open field.

Canvassed by Kitty Humphries, January 1995. This cemetery is overgrown and not easily identifiable. It is actually inside Person County about 1/10 mile.

There are five unmarked graves.

According to this site, Hannah is buried here. Is this correct or is she buried in the "William S Huff Cemetery" as you show???
We wonder if Martha [Snipes] Huff could be one of these graves??? We can't find any information on where Martha is buried.

RE: John T. Lyons
Hi, and thanks for getting back with me. The link you gave just is for someone's submitted family tree in FamilySearch. This isn't really a source, and there is no documentation given for the information in the tree. Everything could very well be correct, but I have no way of knowing. I've certainly seen all kinds of mistakes in family trees in Ancestry. So if you can give me a good source for John's middle name, I'll add it.

Hi, Sandy,
I got your edit about John's middle name being Thomas. Could you please tell me your source of that detail? Thanks.
