RE: John Quinn
David,

I've been snapping photos of all the Quinn stones at St. Bernard's and creating memorials for them as I go.

As for the lot that John's marker was on, I believe it's possibly that there are others (either unmarked or overgrown). You may want to contact the office for more info. The family names on either side are DiTommaso & Letourneau.

Globstad duplicates
One stone I see has the name ending with a b and the other with a d...so we each had one spelled wrong...

The others were the duplicates, and I have requested that they be deleted...

RE: George Griffith
You are SO WELCOME! My maiden name was GRIFFITH (from SC), so even though I hadn't gone looking for that grave, when I saw the name, - I had to take it. PLUS, my grandfather was JAMES GRIFFITH, so I REALLY had to take that picture. Take care and God bless.

RE: Sarah Egbert
Hi David....No problem, glad to help. It looks like you and my wife are cousins. Sarah Egbert is my wife's 1st cousin 5x removed. Which Brandenburg's are your 4th g-grandparents? Wilhelm Heinrich and Anna Maria Brandenburg are my wife's 5th g-grandparents.

North Gilliam County Cemetery Contact Info
David,

First thanks for asking the question about contact info for the Arlington Cemetery.

First the cemetery is located in Gilliam County, Oregon. It seems that two Cemetery districts were formed, the South Gilliam County Cemetery District which administers about 6 or 8 cemeteries around the town of Condon, OR. If you do a search on them they have a lot of activity and lot of phone numbers.

The Arlington Cemetery located at Arlington, Oregon is administrated by the North Gilliam Cemetery district and they only administer that one cemetery. I found one phone number as follows in the following link.

http://www.visitarlingtonoregon.com/NonProfitPages.html

I've never contacted the North Gilliam County Cemetery link but my feeling that it's a real part time position. i.e. the Arlington Cemetery is not that big.

If that contact doesn't work I would search for the "South Gilliam County Cemetery district" and you should easily find some contact phone numbers.

If that doesn't work call:

Sweeney Mortuary
216 S Main St
Condon, OR 97823
Phone: (541) 384-2001

I'm sure they can give you good contact info for the Arlington Cemetery.

Condon, OR is about 30 miles south of Arlington, OR and in rural Oregon Sweeney Mortuary is the only game in town for at least 50 miles.

If you need more information please let me know. I believe the Arlington Cemetery is close to 100% photographed on Find A Grave but maybe I or someone else missed the one you are looking for.

Good Luck,

Bill M

22 Garretts in Riverside Cemetery
When I was trying to help you with the photos, the cemetery office gave me a list of all Garretts buried there.

Let me know if you have questions about others, or, I could scan this list and send it to you.
It gives the name, age, plot location, burial date, and who owns the plot.

Garretts in Riverside Cemetery, Spokane, WA
This is a family plot that contains 4 Garrett burials:
Lizzie, Albert, Frances and James.

I took the liberty of adding them individually to this cemetery. All are buried in the area called "Latah" in the plots (7 & 8) at coordinates 5 south and 35 east I beleieve as I am doing this from memory.

OK the photo should be gone and I am afraid that you will have to make another request to get it out there to we volunteers.

I will do it...but the location was the one you gave and the surname was right...I assumed that this was a relative and maybe he did not have a marker, as I said when I posted.

I checked with the cemetery office for wife of Mr Ray - Thelma Cantrell. She is not buried in any of the Porterville District Cemeteries. I did add several Cantrell headstones for the Vandalia cemetery
