Evergreen Cemetery
Could you tell me who I can call to find out the plot #'s that my ancestors are buried in.Two of them have headstones for sure, but I do not think the others do. If they did, they may have been stolen a long time ago. Thanks Marcia

No photo volunteers work in Mexico. Please delete your photo request. Maybe you could get a photo by calling the Cemetery.

May I download the photographs you took of my family (some at Forest Park) for my family file? Full credit to you of course. May I have your name so that I can credit you properly?

Evergreen Cemetery, Houston Texas
I was wondering if you had anymore information regarding this cemetery and the families that might be buried there. I know that my grandfathers grandparents and my grandfather brother are suppose to be buried in this cemetery. I am looking to find out were and if there is any deeds to go with the burials. Any information you had would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Lonza I. Feldhans

Brown's ~ Forest Park
Thanks for the Brown volunteer photos, I'm grateful. And please don't be offended, but my only request was that you not crop your photos, which it seems you did... I'd be very grateful if you could post unedited natural-shaped photos for me? Thanks. Rich.

McBrady and Donohue Headstone Photos
Thank you so much for taking those lovely photos of my relatives headstones. I was amazed that the requests were claimed so quickly! They look really nice and it means a lot to have them! My cousin had been searching for the whereabouts of this great grand aunt and her daughter for more than 15 years. Finding them for her has made me so happy, not to mention how delighted she is!

Your time and effort are appreciated by me and so many others.

Best,

Judy Diaz

Flora Atchison
Hi!

Thanks so much for trying to photograph Flora Atchison's tombstone. It's such a shame that there isn't one. The stone you found for Carrol J. Atchison is her husband's grave and she was laid to rest right next to him. How amazing that they rest beside your grandparents! :)

Thanks so much!

Kind regards,

Dee

Thanks again
I have contacted the Houston Public Library to order a copy of the obituary already. I am very surprise that she was the only one with headstone. I don't even know how she is tied into the family since the informant was the hospital.

Thank you for photographing Sarah E. Hollifield headstone. Do you have access to archive newspapers in the Houston area?

Thank you so much for the Foust and Bevis photos from Forest Park. I know that is a HUGE cemetery and not easy to navigate. The pictures were all great :)

I received this email from Mr. Carrillo and Jim Cullen. Jennifer Dailey Candelaria

The current information for the San Pedro Cemetery (SPC) captured since
we started the EXCEL database in 2003 is very limited relative to the
query by Jennifer. I did not find anything as specified by name or dates.

Research shows there is a "Velasquez" with no other information
pertaining to the name at location 18NW03.
This is linked with the Comments: "Stone-cement : no names :
Illegible?? "

Not very helpful, but maybe the St John's Catholic Church ( 624 E
Hopkins, 512-353-8969) archives would confirm that she was buried at San
Pedro Cemetery.

I also went to look for her grave and there are many without headstones or the names have been wore off. In August 2003, two men- Michael Ray Griggs and Adam George Field- vandalized two Mexican American cemeteries, Cementerio de San Pedro and Cementerio Guadalupe, in San Marcos, Texas. Many Families repaired what they could. I email San Marcos Historical Commission member,Jim Cullen] Cemetery Chairman and San Pedro Cemetery Association Committee who manages the maintenance and operation of the cemetery, including historical preservation and documentation for information on her location.

I talked to a couple in the cemetery and the husband told me there isn't a written record of burials for San Pedro. Also, there are stones that have lost names or are broken. Frustrating!
However, I have a friend who might know something that could help so I will talk to him tomorrow.
The gentleman told me that vandals damaged many markers there a couple of years ago and served some time for that. Sad!
