Hi Kathi & Teresa,

It's been quite a while since I last emailed. Are you still able to do research for the Adams?

I've been working on the Bennett side.

I would love to share more info and photos with you.

Cousin, Vicki

RE: family members buried there
thank you again. I don't know Paula's plot # as the numbers I have don't say first names. But if could check on the plot # they would be able to tell me who is buried there. Other than a few census records, we haven't been able to find out much about Paula. She's our mystery great-grandma.

family members buried there
No, Paula is not buried with Joseph - I don't know why, so I'm thinking she died later and they had no room for her. She may be in the other Gonzales grave. I don't have the phone number to call. If you give it to me I can call and try to get the info. You're so helpful - thank you.

RE: Gonzales Burial Site
Thank you very much. I have other family members buried in the same cemetery. I have block numbers and grave numbers and last names, but not first names. How do I find out the first names? The main one that I'm looking for is Paula Gonzales - she was Joseph's wife. If you can tell me how I can find out the first names, I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks again,
Elaine

Gonzales Burial Site
Thank you so much for the time and trouble you took to get a photo for this grave site. Seven of my ancestors are buried together there. There are more family members buried nearby, but we don't have the exact location and all the names yet.

God Bless You,
Elaine and Maryjane

(Joseph Gonzales was my Great-Grandfather and Maryjane's Great-Great-Grandfather)

RE: John Quinby
If you find his grave, or members of his family, please photo the marker and let me know and I will make a page for you to attach the photo.
Thank you so much for your effort. I have been auditing and photographing entire cemeteries here in Indiana and it is so very rewarding when I get a note of appreciation. Thanks again, Rick.

RE: John Quinby
John Alonzo Quinby, born 27 Nov 1818 in Parsippany, NJ, went to California and was an early resident of San Jose and a man of some prominence (maybe was a mayor at one time). He had 2 sons and 4 daughters. His son Frederick, the eldest child was born in San Jose in 1852 and died there in 1931.
John had two wives. The first, Minerva Moody Quinby, died in San Jose in 1866. His second wife was Irene Kamp Quinby.
His son by Irene, Manfred DeHart Quinby was born in San Jose in 1877. He traveled on business to South Africa and died in Johannesburg in 1912.
John Alonzo died in San Jose 5 Mar 1891.
They were not Catholic, so were probably interred in one of the older and larger cemeteries in San Jose.
