I don't know how you can find out about Mabel Lewellen Groomes -Ashley. I go back to white county often, and I could look at the memorial gardens cemetery for you. Or you could contact the White County Genealogical Soc. in Carmi and see if they have any records about her.

|Pamela Parizo||Jahile Coonrod|
I must be a distant cousin to you. Jahile is my great-grandfather. I noticed in the list of his children, my grandfather is not there. His name is Joseph Noah Coonrod, and he lived from 1898-1959. He was between Mae and James.
He moved to California in 1935 during the Depression, with my grandmother and their three children (at the time), which included my father Roy who is still living.
Joe is buried in Kingsburg, California:

You thanked me for posting a photo and asked if I could determine if Daisy Florene was in the same place. You didn't tell me whose photo I posted that was of interest to you. I made the assumption that you were referring to John Grier Culbertson and therefore the other person you were looking for would be Daisy Florene Culbertson (maiden name unknown). I checked Findagrave.com and did not find any record for a Daisy Florene Culbertson anywhere. If I was on the wrong trail, please let me know the name I should have been seeking.

|Sherry Kilgore||RE: Related?|
I am responding to your question about Minna "Minnie" Mollie (Uebel) Townsend. Yes, she is related to me through her marriage to Francis Everett Townsend, my second cousin twice removed. Francis and I are both descended from William and Mary (Swift) Harper who are my great, great, greatgrandparents. Francis Everett Townsend's parents were George W. and Sarah A. (Harper) Townsend - Sarah A. Harper's parents were John George and Sally Ann (Chambers) Harper - John George Harper's parents were William and Mary (Swift) Harper. My great, greatgrandmother was Martha Harper, sister of John George Harper. Martha Harper was the wife of Robert Broadway Chambers who was the brother of Sally Ann Chambers, the first wife of John George Harper (she died before 1850 and John then married 2nd Mary Amanda Thomas who died in 1861 and then John married 3rd Nancy ? - he had children by all three wives). So this is my connection to Minnie (Uebel) Townsend. Let me know if I can help you with any info that I have on these families. Thanks, Sherry Kilgore

Jo...check the memorials for Lorne & Lillie, I was able to cleanup the moss issue and get some new shots for you.

Jo...I will keep an eye on the stones. Maybe when summer comes on the heat will help stop the moss and I may be able to get better shots then.
