Wray Family
William Henry Wray was my GG-Grandfather and I noticed that you did not have some names listed. Missing is Sarah Butcher(Wray) and Charles Wray.

Wm Missouri Smith
Hello Carl,

Do you know what the story is with William Missouri Smith (Find A Grave Memorial# 75253517)? I assume he was an out-of-wedlock birth, but have never found any back-story on him.

Hope you are enjoying the spring weather.

Schoolcraft Cemetery
I notice that you have started a Schoolcraft Township Cemetery and moved the pages from Vicksburg (schoolcraft township). Please move them to Schoolcraft Cemetery and delete the Schoolcraft Township - Schoolcraft. Someone contacted Find A Grave and told them that the two cemeteries needed to be merged (to make a long story short). I am trying to get the stones in the right cemetery. Thank you

Schoolcraft Cemeteries
Carl,
I live in California and have not been to Michigan so I am not real sure about the cemeteries. I was informed by a Find A Grave Contributor that Find A Grave moved a lot of memorials to the Vicksburg located cemetery. She indicated that it is a mess and she hopes they will get it cleared up someday. Her Contributor Number is 47794452 if you would like to contact her. Maybe she can give an explanation that is better than mine. She lives in the area and is familiar with cemeteries.

Harrison Walters/ Walter
You sent me an obituary a long time ago on Harrison Walter. Would you happen to know any of his brothers or sisters. I can find a few of them, but can not find any proof on most of them. JLORCUTT

Cora Moses
Carl,

I went to delete the memorial for Cora and noticed that someone had added a picture of her death certificate. I'm reluctant to delete the memorial when someone else has contributed to it. Is there an alternative that would work for you, like a transfer?

You wrote :" is obviously a duplicate and should be removed"

I don't know what the etiquitte is when someone creates a memorial in the wrong cemetery, and then decided to move it to the correct one. It seems to me you should delete your memorial and add corrections to the one that was originally in the correct cemetery. I see nothing "obvious" about it.

Carl,

I'd be happy to delete or transfer management (if you prefer) of any memorials. Please use the Edit tab on each memorial and click "Send a correction" with your instructions and I'll do it.

Thanks, Carl. I did not know we could do that. I have written to ask them to make the changes and will delete mine once all is changed! Thanks again.

You're welcome.

We were able to locate a listing of the cemetery row by row which made finding it much easier. Wish they were all like this one!!

RE: Catherine Apple
Hello Carl:
Here is an explanation I received from another Apple:
If you go and read both memorials, you will see that I left both in place for a reason as stated in the *NOTE* at the bottom oF the respective memorials. Aaron is still listed as being buried in Woodland Cemetery Records, although his body was relocated in 1927 to Dayton Memorial Park (also listed in their burial records), which is confusing for researchers of the Apple family (of which I am one). Since both cemeteries have him listed as buried there I wanted to help clear up the double burial issue with the informational note placed on both memorials.

MY SUGGESTION: Leave the memorial in the newer cemetery to which they were located and make a bio note that states they were originally buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery and moved in 1927.

Thanks for your reply.
Dianne

Thanks, Carl, for the heads up. I always do a search before I start a new page but I know those don't always bring up the information they are supposed to. I have sent a message to DLL just in case. I'm not sure how to ask administrators to change information, I've never done that. What would I have to do? He would also need to be linked to his wife on that one.
