RE: Elbert Hargis
Thanks for asking, but I'm not relation to Elbert at all. I was at this cemetery and then when I got home I tried to do some research on this person and post it on Find A Grave. What I put on Find A Grave is all the information I could find.

You have posted a lovely headstone photo to memorial #84708984 . It is a duplicate and will be deleted. Could you post your photo to the original #22821193 so we don't lose your documentation? Thanks

Kehmptzows
Oh, I should've been more clear. I found out about another baby that Martha Kehmptzow and William Leigh had shortly after they married.

I would love to learn more about Henrietta. If she died in Michigan between 1897 and 1920, you can find her death cert for free from this site:

http://seekingmichigan.org/

Click "Advanced Search" at the top, then narrow your parameters and you should find her. Sometimes you have to get creative since the person filling out the cert sometimes had poor handwriting or didn't know how to properly spell the person's name.

Hi!
Ah, yes! Hello, Michelle! It's been a while. I will be cleaning out my hall closet soon and hope to find the tray that goes with Martha Kehmptzow's chalice :) As soon as I do, I will photograph it and send to you. It is badly tarnished as well, if I recall. I need to clean it, I think.

I have seen the paintings by our ancestor. It's a real point of pride for us! I shared them with my mom and she was so happy to learn such an interesting little tidbit.

I have recently updated my tree with the newest info I have on William and Martha Kehmptzow Leigh. Let me know your username on ancestry and I will invite you to the new tree so you can see what I have. I have found their marriage date, the existence of another baby I never knew about, and some other interesting things as well.

RE: Ray & Marcele Hollin
Hi Michelle:

A few weeks after Mom died in August 2006, I was home with Daddy when the phone rang and a man asked to speak with William Latou. I asked him who was calling and he said in a well-modulated voice "I am Ray Hollin, your Dad's best friend from Goodyear Heights" so I gave the phone to Daddy.

Ray was right. He was Daddy's best friend from Goodyear Heights and the Boyscout troop. Ray really brightened things up at a time we really needed him. Marcele was a true delight. Daddy had wanted to travel to Akron to see them, but he wasn't well himself.

I enjoyed meeting both of them and wish I had more time to have spent with them. I talk to John now & then, but not often enough.

Ray and Daddy both married girls from West Virginia who were two years older than them.

You put up nice photos- I don't have very good photos of them.

RE: Mary F Kehmptzow
Hello Michelle,
Your name is familiar - I think we may have corresponded in the past. Frederick Kehmptzow is my great-grand uncle, which would of course make Mary my great-grand aunt. It's a pleasure to meet you, or re-encounter you, as the case may be! :)

RE: Wm Silcox
We only added William's memorial, not the picture and the person who entered the memorial for his daughter with an unknown burial location is the person who added the link. Wish that we could have been of more help.

RE: W. M. Easley
Michelle,

I took the picture Saturday, and I loved the story that went with the "legend" of Dr. Easley!

I had never been to this cemetery before, and I also thought it was strange that flowers had been placed at his marker.

I'm glad I could add a piece of the puzzle.

Thank you so much
Hello Michelle,

I genuinely appreciate your willingness to post a couple of my FindaGrave photo requests for Saint Josephs Cemetery. Your additions for Frantz and Florentina Reiger are very important to me as they were my great-great-great grandparents. I hope to make it to the area sometime for a visit as I've found many distant relatives are in St. Josephs and Calvary Cemeteries.

Thank you again for your kindness,

Have a great weekend

David Kennedy

Well, Michelle, I guess we are cousins. Jeptha Leet is my third great grandfather. That makes us third cousins, twice removed, or something like that :)
