Subject: Re: New Find A Grave Message from Bill McCrea
Bill....this line in my tree is through Anna Mae Welch...John's daughter. Col. James Pinkerton Jr. is my ex brother-in-law (John is his grandfather)...I maintain the tree for Jim's children (my nieces and nephews)....very interesting family. I have enjoyed doing the tree because there is such good record keeping. If you would like to be a guest on my tree please let me know your email. I would love for you to ck it out and let me know if there are any errors!!!!! In the meantime, feel free to use anything I have!!!

No, I am not. I am helping the Prospect Cemetery Association in updating and correcting their documents. I have photographed every visible stone in Prospect Cemetery. This cemetery is special to me because it is where my parents and my great parents and many more of my family are buried. I have transferred Carl and Bessie to you. If you want or need any more let me know. I am glad to be of service. I am retired, this is my hobby.

Thanks. I am involved with a cemetery restoration at Swackhammer cemetery in Hunterdon County. I am related to the Osmun family and I am trying to get it sorted. Elizabeth's mother, Mary Hoppock (nee Osmun) was a sister to my 2nd great-grandfather, Peter Osmun who is buried at Swackhammer.
I pulled Elizabeth Cramer's death certificate this morning from the archives in Trenton. I can make a scan if you want it for your records.

Yes, you may use the photo. I am not connected, but rather a cousin.

PS: Thanks for the offer of the Warford memorials, but please hold onto these. My connection is through the Van Cleves, so the Warfords are in-laws of cousins and someone else should have them. Thanks again Bill. -Joe

|Lizann||Porters Old Sommerville|
Bill, I transferred the Porters to you. If you go to the cemetery, anything that I entered is on the right side of the cemetery (looking at the cemetery from the center opening ). Anything that Ellen Johnson entered is on the left side of the cemetery. The cemetery is not very big so you should not have any trouble locating the headstones

Bill, You have always been good to me, so i have transferred your kin to you, even though you didn't ask! Thanks for being one of the good guys! Ellen

Bill - I also think that the grave marker shows her maiden name. Her obit has her name as Mrs Elizabeth S. Smith. There is no mention of Higgins. She was survived by 2 sons; Burton & Roger Smith, but no brothers.

Bill, Thank you ONCE AGAIN for your prompt attention to my correction requests! I always breathe a sigh of relief when I see that I have a correction to one of YOUR records! I still haven't found Emma & Percy's son LeRoy (who if alive would be about 100), nor have I found Emma & Edwards's two sons, Robert and Donald Hill, who are younger. The hunt continues!!! Thanks again (also for the H-F archive hint ... I have that site bookmarked)! Ellen

|Amanda Drake||Hummer family|
Hoping you might have any information or next-of-kin records on John and Mary (Shurts) Hummer, who are buried here. Their son, George Shurts Hummer, married my g-g-aunt, Carrie Drake, and I am trying to find any information about them or where they are buried.
Thanks so much for all of your work!

I married into a local family over 30 years ago before I knew that my family had ties to Hunterdon County. I took some time yesterday to visit the cemetery. Could you tell me if Cherryville maintains any records for the individuals interred in the cemetery. Since Cherryville is an older church, are there "guest books" for the church and if there are, how far back do they go. Thank you and thank you for the beautiful maintenance. Oh how my granddaughter loved seeing the horses in the rear of the new portion of the cemetery.

Bill - thanks for the transfer - I do appreciate your willingness to help. I wonder, after reading your bio, I see a grave next to Emma and it appears to be an identical type marker and seems to start with an "M"...is this her husband Micajah?? Please let me know who is next to her whenever you might get a chance...thanks!! Donna (I am in Florida)

|Beverly G. Kirby-McDonough||Elizabeth McCrea Apgar|
Please take a look at the memorial of Elizabeth McCrea Apgar, Find-A-Grave entry # 9774632. I believe she may be a daughter of Mathias and Sarah Ann Sweazy McCrea.
If you need to check, there is an obituary for her in the Easton Express / Express Times Newspaper dated 1/6/1947. The obituary is available at Easton Library. It may also be published in the Hunterdon County Democrat.
