RE: Mary Jane LeCompte
Though I have not visited, I am told there are at least 2 small family plots around the creek, one of which may be partially submerged. Jim Richardson's daughter Jane or granddaughter Susan may know more about exact locations.

RE: Mary Jane LeCompte
Yes, Mary was the first wife of Caleb Asbury LeCompte (1850-1924). I know of at least one great-grandson who is alive and living in Cambridge, and she probably has many more. Don't know much about her other than what I found in marriage and census records. She and Caleb had 9 children together. I believe Caleb is a grandson of Caleb LeCompte of Jarvis Hill.

RE: Thomas (I or J) Jones
I am not sure which initial is correct. Grave marker shows "I" but data base for cemetery shows "J". Other documents I viewed were also inconsistent. I apologize for taking so long to respond.

Florence Baen Orem Wilson
I just noticed that the memorial for Florence Baen Orem Wilson #70321686 lists her as interred in Greenlawn. Her death certificate lists Greenlawn, her obituary lists Greenlawn but She has an actual stone next to her husband George H Wilson #142171394 in Dorchester Memorial. I will have to investigate further to see if she also has a stone in Greenlawn.

Merrick Reeder and Charles Reeder Sr.
I am still wondering why Woodlawn Cemetery has no record of Merrick Reeder and his father Charles being buried there. It appears there is no separate marker for them only their names listed on a memorial stone.

Sorry about that, John; I saw that on your bio notes for William Asplen, and assumed (we know that you can't just assume) you were related to them. But maybe someone who IS related will see these messages and get in contact. I am also related to Hubbards and LeComptes; William Hubbard/Mina Asplen, William's parents being Henry Hubbard/Sarah Marshall from Cambridge.

Hi John, I have a copy of Rev John Asplund's book from Amazon. Obviously I couldn't afford an original, so I guess it had enough "hits"? to print a copy. The children listed in your memorial (and other places) has their daughter Nina, or Nima, etc. Her name is actually Wilmina Lee Asplen and she went by Mina, I believe. She married William Hubbard and they settled in Carroll County, MD where they had four children among whom is my grandfather, Carl Hubbard (my mother's father). I loved making the trip to Maryland in 2006 with my father, and meeting my cousin, Deanna, who guided us all around Cambridge and out to Trinity Cemetery. I took lots of pictures. Last year I found on rootsweb an entry for John Asplund the Rev, (though the lady who recorded it said Ashland) who married an Elizabeth Welsh in 1800 in Caroline County...does this sound familiar to you? Sorry for the long message, it's hard to find Asplens! Mary Morris

Just wondering on Samuel Frey where you found the information on his immigration from Solothum, Switzerland to New York and through Panama to San Francisco. Would be interested in that information. John Frey his brother was my husbands great grandfather.

RE: Hello Cousin Sherlock
Honestly, I don't have a clue on which of the cemeteries is correct for the Wright family. The 4 Wrights I manage in Hillcrest were added by my deceased cousin. I don't have any managed Wright memorials in Concord. Why don't you request headstone photos in both cemeteries and see what comes up?

lol-This time I don't have a clue on the Wrights. I've been checking the newspapers and that whole family doeesn't have 1 obituary that I can find - either in MD or DE.

The info you posted in William Wright's memorial shows buried in Concord.

RE: John Jones Skinner

Thank you for the correction; I'm not sure where I got that information, it's been a while since I worked on the Leitch/Skinner memorials.

It seems you are very knowledgable about this family. Are you connected to them in some way? My connection is by marriage: Laura (Skinner) Leitch married the brother of my great-great-grandmother (Elizabeth (Leitch) Funkhouser).

RE: Corrected FAG #
John ~

After further correspondence with the descendent of George Duncan, it appears that she was disappointed that she did not get to set up the memorial and that the photo did not give her credit. I will contact the person that posted the photo - maybe it's another one of my relatives- and find out where he got the photo. She is fine now with me managing the memorial because she now knows I am related to her.

I do not understand the Mormon Baptism/Sealing thing either, but I do have a couple deceased relatives that this has happened with. There is nothing I can do about it, I know, so I don't worry about it. I can manufacture a zillion other things to worry about without adding this to the list.

Thanks for considering my request - I will see if this can be resolved so everyone is happy.

Hello ~

You have graciously allowed me to manage two of the graves you posted : George Washington Duncan # 62116129 and Lorinda Anzaline Duncan # 62116097.

I received an angry email from a direct descendant of this couple stating she is offended by these posts and the photos that have been attached were taken from her tree without her permission. She states she is offended because her great grandfather does not like the Mormon Church due to an incident in his childhood and she does not want the Church to use this information to "seal" him into the Church.

Would you consider removing these two posts? If you remove them I will then add them with their names only and a message that the descendants have requested no other information be posted.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

RE: Strange memorial
We have them here in Delaware, but I've never made a memorial for one. That's the odd part!
