So here is my problem, Bill. I have located one of the children, Virginia Hill Swann, and I don't know which parents to link her to. I can't link her to both.

If you need transfers go to memorials and I will send them. I looked on your profile but did not see Mims name.

RE: William Humphrey Barnett
Bill....will be happy to remove the memorial when an ongoing project is completed.....currently, efforts are underway to document the burials made within Baptist Cemetery for the 200th anniversary of the founding of the parent church (Limestone Baptist located at Bug Hill east of Monroeville)....the burials at Baptist and the old Bug Hill Cemetery will be compiled for a 1st Baptist Church record including a history of the cemetery as it relates to the camp site established by Federal soldiers in Lucas' command....currently we are nearing completion, all graves have been photographed, and searches continue for death notices/obituaries/public notices published in is a slow process...

RE: Sarah McNeill Moore

Glad you enjoyed it all. You are welcome to share anything you see on those memorials, whether pics or articles. I have a copy of the booklet that you refer to. I think I got it abt 20 yrs ago at the archives in Montgomery, after which I visited the McNeill - Townsend cemetery. Hard to find.

Good to meet you. I wish you well.

No. I am related via James McNeill's brother, Charles McNeill. See his FindaGrave memorial here:

Kind regards,

Bill, I recently updated the Karr_Lynch tree. I'm getting ready to finalize my ancestry books and was wondering if you found any information I should add? Thanks! Happy Thanksgiving, cuz!

Louvenia Lucinda Todd Mott
This is her correct name. Nobody knows whi Ludinsky or what ever shows up. She came here after her brother, Uncle Will Todd did. Their parents were killed in Phelps Co. Floyd Todd, their grand dad raised them. Margaret Garrett was a Cherokee and somebody killed them beacuse of that. They Uncle Will and Louvinia used their Cherokee names when going to the Northern Cherokee "reunions".

I have Wm. Confederate record and joined the SCV on his record. He couldn't get his pension because someone in OK was using it. Also he was in Missouri, married with children. James Montgomery was his cousin, the joined Co. E, 8th Regt. Mo. Inf. together in Barry co., Mo. and their record alwas showed they were from Barry Co. until they surrendered. I'm so glad somebody found one of my heros. We visited t he cem. simce I was young and I put the Confederate flag on his grave every memorial daay. where is JamesMontgomery?

RE: Elijah Finnell
I found a little bit about his death in a newspaper transcript book I have.

Armstrong Herald Friday, Feb 14, 1890
(abstracted by Sherry Raleigh-Adams)

Elijah Finnell, the aged father of James and Cam Finnell, died Monday night at his home in Roanoke, after a few days illness from pneumonia. Burial at Wesleyan Chapel, South of this city. Had he lived until May, he would have reached his 85th milestone. He was united with the Baptist church.

Good to hear from you, Bill. I have another "distance" photo of his stone taken a couple years ago before that sprout grew up. It clearly shows that stone next to his is Nancy Bradsher. Do you have a death date for his first wife? I looked and poked and prodded pretty thoroughly when I photographed the whole cem this year, and tried to check all sides of the obelisks like his, so I'm fairly sure I didn't just miss it. I have added pictures for every stone I found, but it's still only 87%.

I took a look and nothing is showing at this time. Will check again later. That is really great to have it restored. I know you have to be pleased.

Hi Bill,
Just transferred Louvenie Mott to you. I do not have photos of the Simmons in Salisbury but may get up there this week to start the whole cem. I also do not have any photos of the Bailey Cem. I filled in missing memorials from a listing. Sorry!

RE: Ernest Sharp
Bill, thank you. If you would like a transfer of your cousin, just send an edit. I noticed that another memorial had been made for him in 2013. I sent a message to consider deletion, as the memorial that my sister made was in 2006 and it includes family links. Also thanks for your comment of liking my quote. I thought of it not long after my sister passed away in 2009. It's so true. Each day does count. And although we left nothing undone, unfelt, or unsaid, we had hoped to grow old together. Loretta
