RE: Bobby Wayne Hearn
Not the same person. Bobby Wayne Hearn was born June 6, 1935 and died March 19, 2001. He was the son of John Albert and Mary Edith Henson Hearn.

Teresa are we related..
You did a search of Mattie Lee Mitchell and left her a flower. My dad was J.R. Moore or as I have recently found out Ace J.R. Moore. I believe you have corresponded with my brother some years back and I am anxious to maybe talk with you or message you about our family tree. I would appreciate a message back at pisces_grl1@yahoo.com .

Hi,
I have not done a full research of the Mitchell family so ....not that I am aware of. If you have links send them and I will see what I can find.

Hey Teresa,
Yea, been back a few times but never had occasion to review his temp marker.
Reason being, it's been there a total of 16 years and if it's not replaced by the time I took the foto then odds are it wouldn't be.
That temp was old school, made of metal to last a while, not tin or aluminum like today which deteroriates quickly.
It's a bit off my beaten path but if it's important to ya, I could take a run out there next week, after the weather clears, maybe.
Later, James Coston

George Tubb
You are correct to doubt George Tubb's burial in Hopewell Cem Perry Co AL. I have researched this and have found his grandson, Elisha Petty, in 1902 Dawes Testimony gave statements that indicate George Tubb died c 1838 in Alabama near the Mississippi/Alabama state line. George Tubb and his son, Elisha Floyd Tubb, both bought land in Pickens Co. AL in 1837. Elizabeth Floyd Tubb, wife of George, was head of household in 1840 Pickens Co AL census. George Tubb died c 1838 Pickens Co AL. I suspect some of the early Tubb researchers knew George Tubb died in Alabama and assumed it was Perry Co. I am curious about the date provided of 13 Nov 1835 which is very specific; it is possible that it is actually the correct date. The place is Pickens Co and not Perry Co AL.

Thanks for your postings, Rebecca Stenzel

I didn't even know that you could add a bio to someone elses's memorial. When I click your name, it goes to your page. Maybe you can delete your name of off Herberts site??

Morgenthal = Bushy Creek?
Well, I have exhausted all of my resources trying to find anything that would link Morgenthal Cemetery to Bushy Creek, but have been unsuccessful! It may be that the Morgenthal's owned the land that Bushy Creek Cemetery is on, however I have found nothing to prove that theory. Sorry, wish I could have been more help! Take care

I don't THINK I was the one who sent it to you. If I did, I was having a really bad day since I have not been able to document a name for the "G". I have heard/read that it stood for Gray/Grey, but that's only hearsay. If you find out who gave you the info, I would like to make contact with him/her since it might be an ancestor of one of her brothers or sisters. Thanks. MaryAFinazzo

Appears David Sifford's trumps my memorial as he has the burial location.

I added the spouse to the edit on his memorial and will delete mine.

Thanks for notifying me of the dupe.

My childhood Friend
I am not sure if this message will be read or reach the right person. I have been searching for Amber Lynn Woodruff for many years. Amber & I went to elementary school together, and in the same class. My parents said we were best friends. I still remember the day my parents told me she passed away. She didn't attend school that day, she was suppose to get a new heart. The day she pass away is the day that changed my life as a little kid. We evidently moved, but Amber has always held a special place in my heart. Next month (December) I will be turning 30. I have been researching Amber's family for a long time. I feel like I have some unfinished business with her parents. I would really love to find her parents. Who ever is in charge of this website and church/grave yard. Please help me. My e-mail is JessicaDillon843@hotmail.com. My number is 678-468-7610.

Thank You & God Bless

RE: Esther Pendleton
My husband and I went back to the cemetery this morning. We found Jesse Pendleton but still can't locate Esther's headstone. I have my request in with the City for an actual location. When I receive it, we'll go back and search again. I did take some pictures of the Pendleton Family area in the cemetery. If you would like me to send them to you, please give me your email address.

Hi, first let me say, I so agree with what you said in your bio. We can't let the haters keep us from what we love.

I also wanted you to know I attempted to fulfill your request for a headstone picture. I visited Downey District Cemetery yesterday and was overwhelmed. My husband and I walked off rows for over a hour and didn't make a dent in the search. It has almost 3,000 graves, many of the headstones are very worn - hard to read, no one on site to help...without a plot number, etc. it is going to be almost impossible to find the grave.

I called the city this morning to request direction. Their database is down (hopefully be up in about a month), the only employee available to assist with such a request is part-time and when the database is up, she has other requests ahead of mine. Additionally, they don't have a very helpful map of the cemetery even after we get the plot number.

Sorry, but I'll keep trying. Hopefully you'll get a picture within the year.
