Nelson S. Freeman
You contributed a picture I hadn't seen of Dr. Freeman. I own the Nelson Freeman home and in process of getting house nominated on Coles County historic recognition. His history serving in the civil war shape that he was also surgeon for a Black union troop as part of his service record.

Hi...I just found out you and are related. Your great great grandfather was my great great grandfather's older brother. My GG Grandfather was Christian Shelley. I am trying to find out when he died and where he is buried and all I get are, no pun intended, dead ends. Can you help?

My grandmother was Annabell Shelley Heaton, Christians middle child. She is buried in Old Ludlow but I cannot find him anywhere. Please Help:)

RE: Jacob and Candis Bechtel
You are welcome we had gone over there for someone else or maybe it was in response to a request I don't remember. We had an enjoyable day visiting the cemetery. Just a heads up for anyone else going there they didn't like us coming in to the cemetery and taking pictures. You have to be really specific on what you are there for. It was a new one on me I always thought this was a free country. There are some really old graves there it was like a history lesson.

Are you related to the Bechtels?
I have a message from another person with the same changes you have suggested. I am going to contact that person also to see if they are related to the Bechtels.
I have offered it to you first.
Let me know if you want it.

I would be happy to pass the memorial sites of Candis and Jacob Bechtel to you if you wish.

Please let me know if this is alright with you.

I have made the changes to Candis' site you have suggested. I will also credit you with the information. The town of Perry Township was not listed on the city choices so I will include that info in the Bio.

RE: Seth Bowe
Hi Stephen, We took off the photos. The stone that was there was very hard to read. I see in the interment record that both he and Nellie H. Bowe are buried there, but in 2009, there was no marker left. Jim

RE: James P. Harney
You are very welcome. The actual location is NOT in the National Cemetery (Cypress Hills), but rather in the Union Plot at the Cypress Hills PRIVATE CEMETERY nearby. The administrators there had little information about his gravesite. Appearently many of the graves were at some time moved, so many are not in a sequential order. It took some time to find because of this. The location is: Section 1C, Row 11, Grave 22 in the Union Plot. I gave this information to the cemetery administrators to put on record.

Duplicate - Move the photos?
I am trying to get a duplicate memorial (15406744) deleted but the duplicate has your fantastic photos posted to it. Do you think you could post your photos of Huldah Vining to the other memorial (10293715) so that they are not lost and so you get credit for your work?

RE: Sylvanus S. Dixon
You're quite welcome. I added three photos if you didn't notice. Unfortunately, the closeup of the stone got pushed to the second page. If you own the memorial, you might want to arrange the photos so that the stone closeup is on the first memorial page--I couldn't do it.
