Linda Dearing
Lillie Belle Jennings
My relationship is through the Dearings

Lillie - daughter of William Henry Jennings & Sister of Edward Green Jennings
William Henry Jennings - father of Edward Green Jennings
Edward Green Jennings - father of Denver Lloyd Jennings
Denver is married to Helen Lucille Weldy
Helen is the daughter of Eldena Susan Dowell
Elenda is the daughter of Willliam W. Dowell
William is the son of William Milton Dowell
William Milton is the don of Elizabeth Dearing
Elizabeth is the daugther of Capt. John Dearing
John is the son of William Dearing.

Now as for my relationship, I used to think Capt. John was my 4th great uncle, I think that is it, but lately discovered he was not the son of a William Dearing and as yet have not discovered the connection of William to my 5th great grandfather Robert. He may have been a brother, but until we find their fathers, we just don't know.

So you probably want to know why I have an interest in Lillie.

I am finishing a book on the southern Dearings and related families. I had done a lot of research on this family and felt it would be unfair to leave them out since they are a southern family.

The woman who first discovered this William to my knowledge is no longer with us. she wrote the book 'Dearing Tracks Throughout America'
Everyone assumed that since Edward Dearing had a Robert that it must be Capt John. He was easy to find and his family has an interesting history, but when I was researching this man came across the book I just mentioned and found where she had listed William as Capt. John's father. So I went back to the drawing board with my John without any preconceived notions. I found that my John was married to Mary Sims not Elizabeth Jett.

So that is my interest in her in a nut shell.
I would like to not only include Lillie and her family in the book, but I am trying to prove everything as well as I can.

Any further questions, just let me know.
I like the name 2Trolls. Who is the second troll

They are not related to me. I am researching the tree for my boss. If you want to transfer them, I could turn them over to the family when I get the tree together. I just started. Let me know if you're willing to transfer and I'll put in the request. If you don't wish to transfer, that's ok, too. :) Thank you for responding so quickly. Have a nice day.

RE: Griffins, etc
Let me look at those from the Niles area. I found the obit for my husband's gr-aunt and she was buried in Oak Ridge in Buchanan. I suspect that others in her family who lived in the Niles and Buchanan area may have been buried there too but I want to check first before you do anything. So just wait for me to get the precise info to you accordingly.

Photos Request
In your available free time would you get some gravestone photos for me in Niles. My late husband has a gr-aunt who lived there along with a few of her children. I can send you the info privately if you'd like. I'll make memorials first before sending the info or try to get the memorials if already created and then you can just post the photos to the memorials.

RE: Griffins, etc
After I sent the message I got thinking and was wondering if it was you.

Be prepared to get some more info for the memorials. I added a memorial for Guy Turner Griffin. I guess you weren't aware that Grandma Amanda lost a baby between Aunt Myrtle and Uncle Jesse. I only know about this baby because Aunt Opal told me about her when I spent a few hours with her one time. I'm linking the family together and am getting other transfers so you may want to check once in a while to see if anything has been added to any of the memorials or a new one added along the way.

Tell all hi. I often think about your mother.

RE: Elution Joy
Yes, I know. But I would like a better one -- one that is not obscured by grass, etc. I put that into the photo request when I entered my request -- or at least I think I did.

RE: Henry Lamberton/Dick Cemetery
Oh yes, I should've noticed that. Little Henry was b. Dec 17, 1878 Niles, Berrien Michigan & died Sep 10, 1881 Niles, Berrien, Michigan; named after his grandfather. He died just before the family headed to the Dakotas, which at that time wasn't South & North. Please link him to his parents Laban & Fannie Lamberton.

99468195 Fannie Belle White Lamberton, mother

Thanks much, Carol Early
