I noticed your rememberance note on his grave---he was my great grandfather; are you also related and if so how? I always am looking for 'cousins' with which to share info! Thank you.

RE: Bright Gibson Moore
I donít know if I linked my memorial for Bright G. Moore with the Ona Florence Munger memorial or if the person who created that memorial linked it my Bright G. Moore memorial. I have deleted the link.

I may have gotten the incorrect information as to who his wife was from some information in the history collection at the Balch Springs Library. I donít know because I donít have that information at my house. However, what research I was able to do since receiving your email confirms that Etta was his wife. I found an amendment of a birth certificate she filed which has not only her name but her marriage information which was a different day from what I had before. It is interesting that in the obit for her daughter Treville, Ettaís middle name is Ona, so someone was obviously confused. I have revised the text in my memorial for Bright Gibson Moore.

Just a note to let you know I have updated his page in Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka, KS. Such a sad accident that took his life.

I have left a message to change the date of her death. I agree with you, after looking at the headstone in the photo, it definitely is older than the date I transcribed.
All of my Gibson ancestors came from Missouri. Tryon Gibson arrived in Missouri from Tennessee around 1830. Known sons are: Benjamin, William, Hezekiah, John Wesley and Leroy.
Would be interested in finding out if you husband's Gibsons are connected.

Hi Deena,

I have moved from Austin TX to Santa Fe NM and will not be able to go back to the cemetery to check. I know I tried to made sure all information reflected what I found at the cemetery. I have no problem changing the date of death of you have records showing the date of 1901. Is Steussy one of you family lines?

Also, your last name Gibson is of interest to me. My Grandmother was a Gibson and our Gibson line in Texas have been looking for our elusive Gibson Ancestor for over 40 years. Finally resorted to DNA testing and we are still looking.

KINDest regards,

Memorial for Nettie (Weekly) Hinchcliff
Hi- you placed flowers on memorial 83142952 for Nettie F. Hinchcliff. This is a courtesy note. The memorial was recently updated. Her first name has been updated to remove the name MILDRED; Mildred was requested by one contributor but subsequently revoked by another. Regards, Tom

Deena, Thank you so much for your help. Any idea on correct date of death? Records here show 4/12/1932 from vital records and your note from granddaughter shows 12/3/1932.

Deena, I have looked for both Benjamin and Harriet in the past and cannot find their stone. There are several stones in this cemetery that you can no longer read which may be the case here. You can contact barbaraturney@comcast.net and see if she will give you the exact location of their graves and let me know and I will go take a picture for you. Thanks Karen

You're more than welcome, Denna.
That cemetery is my primary project and only 8% of the graves have markers. It's always sad to have to let family know there is no gravestone. And many times we aren't even sure of the location of an unmarked grave due to a fire that destroyed records. Also, different sextons changed the names of different areas over the years. It gets very confusing and frustrating.
