Sarah Rudd #63500033
Do you know if this is her married name or her maiden name? I have been searching for a Sarah Adaline Costner Rudd who was married to Vaughn Rudd. They are my great great grandparents. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Jacob Robinson
Have you found anything on parents of the Jacob Robinson who married Elizabeth Wheelock? I found William Robinson and Charity Kennedy who had a son Jacob Robinson about the same time, but seems to be a different Jacob as his spouse and offspring don't match our lineage.
Thanks,

W. F.B (BUTTRAM) Memorial, Buttram Cem., Rhea Co., TN
Tom,

Thank you for the picture of this tombstone. It had been listed as W.F.B. Buttram and I could not figure who that was. When I saw the nice, clear picture you took I could see that it said only -- W. F. B. -- not W. F. B. Buttram. That allowed me to make a tentative identification. I believe the grave is for William Floyd Buttram, the 15 year old son of Cynthia P. (Vaughn) and James Calloway M. Buttram of Rhea County. I still have not been able to find their graves. Years ago someone told me James Calloway M. Buttram was buried in the Concord Cemetery in Rhea Co., TN but if so, there is not a memorial page for him on Find-A-Grave so that has me wondering.

Bless you for your kindness! Have a great rest of the day!

I was wondering what you are going to add to the sites of the robinsons ?
I spent a great deal of time in the clarence cemetery taking pictures and doing basically the whole cemetery because I had some ancestors in the cemetery. I live in Illinois and traveled thru clarence to get to ks so everytime for over 2 years I would stop and take pictures of the ones I missed etc.
So let me know what else you are going to add to the sites?
thanks janet

re: Charles Wheelock
Thank you so much for your discussion on the genealogy issues you noted. Years old family info can certainly have assorted errors when getting this far back in time. Info came from the in-laws sides, so to prevent hard feelings I will be cautious in what/how to change the links for a few days until I can have a better look at their records again in another town. For the meantime, I have posted your discussion you sent on the SAC and added:

(Thanks to Find A Grave contributor Thomas Robinson for this discussion above. I have referred this information to family members who provided information for links to John C. that are shown on this page because there are some confusing issues to sort out still.)

Your help is indeed appreciated. If you have a chance to follow the links on this line of Robert Napoleon Wheelock, let me know if you see some ancestral lineage that would be more correct than that which was given me here. It might all be from an illegitimate child that was kept a family secret or something. Anything is possible since such info was often suppressed and reason they left TN for TX? Who knows? Have a nice week and let me know if you have some more info on this line to help me resolve the genealogy better back to Robert Napoleon.

Francis MCCABE (1841-1908), Spring City cemetery grave photo
Thomas, I was interested to know if I could obtain a copy of the jpeg photo for the grave of Francis MCCABE (1841-1908) buried in Spring City Cemetery. The inscription is very difficult to read and I was hoping to obtain a better, high resolution image. Thank you for any assistance you can provide. Dan Carrier, dantcarrier@yahoo.com

Thanks for the correction on Samuel. I think his birth year is 1845, too. I found him listed as younger than both even listed as 5 years old in the 1850 Census. But I forgot to go back and check/correct the findagrave data.

RE: Virtual Flower at Memorial #83515783
I don't think you can edit a previous virtual flower. In my experience, it has to be deleted and a new one left in its place. FYI - the guidelines state that biographical information should not be included in a virtual flower. I think this is mainly because the creator/manager of a memorial is not notified when a virtual flower is left, so they may not find this information for years to come. If the information is sent via the edit tab, following on to the Suggest A Correction . . . link, an email will go straight away to the person in charge of the memorial and they can address it accordingly.

Hi,

I just wanted to let you know that Martha Keith is daughter of Wiley Nicholas Keith and Nancy Buttram. Wiley and Nancy were married in 1833. Wiley and Eliza Jane Jack were not married until 1844.

I added the information you sent to these ladies' memorials. It will be interesting to see the documentary. I may have the photos already that are waiting to be cropped and loaded, may not. I am photographing the cemetery in sections as I visit my mother.

If you get the photos, go ahead and post them and any others you happen to get in the cemetery. My mom is getting to be an expert at gently foiling stones that would otherwise be unreadable. However, someone has chalked a few stones since September and that is not allowed by this site. It breaks my heart as it is harmful to already fragile stones.

RE: Melissa Buckner Henry
I looked on Ancestry too, saw the marker and changed her maiden name to Brittain since the date from the transcription was obviously her death date of Sept. 30 1864. My great-grandfather buried at Henry Cemetery is Jim Mitchell. I think he has to be Henry related, I can't find that connection through sources yet. He was born in the 1840's, fought in the Civil War in Gray's Jackson Parish unit (which, confusingly, is actually partially Lincoln Parish now!) I figure he must be related to CJ and Melissa's son-in-law, maybe a brother? In fact, I have a great uncle named CJ Mitchell, that my ggf must have named after elder CJ Henry. And, my mom tells me, we are related to the Fuller families buried there too. Big time treasure hunt to find ancestors, is it not? LOL! Thanks again, so much, for making her memorial accurate!

Melissa Buckner Henry
Hi, Thomas, I truly appreciate the heads up on this memorial. I had used a transcription with that date in the born in column, but I am thinking it is either 1) that is actually the deathdate of MBH or 2) this is possibly a namesake (that is why I didn't plug in Buckner as a maiden name). I haven't done a lot of digging on these Henrys, I need b/c my great grandfather is buried among them. I know there is a connection with him to them. If you see anything, please let me know. I really want her memorial to be correct. If this is the wife of Charles Henry, then she is an important person in Lincoln parish history. Thanks again!

I sent you an email message at your contact email from find-a-grave. I am aware that Benjamin is missing, but have yet to determine where he is buried so I can add him.
