|PrairieWind Girl||laura gordon memorial|
Hello from ND. Thank you for posting Laura's memorial. My family history has her as my grandmother's aunt yet even though her husband info is correct, her parent information on her memorial is all wrong. Do you know who provided her information? If possible, I would like to help with the corrections. Thank you.

|Kristy R||RE: Bessie Cowley|
Hello! Oh you just made my day! I actually had a large list of names to find at this cemetery and "Bessie" was the only name that the woman from the Cemetery office said was not there. The cemetery worker did mention that there was a Marilyn but I wasn't given her grave location (as it was assumed to be the wrong person). After my husband, kids and I searched for & found all the names on out list rather quickly I felt encouraged to go back to the office and request Marilyn's location anyway. The woman in the office was surprised but gave it to me. I am SO happy that our intuition proved correct :) I took the liberty of uploading the grave image to Marilyn's memorial page. I'm not totally sure of the photo request etiquette in this situation, so hopefully that was ok.
All the best!

It looks like we have a common ancestor with John James Earley. I descend through his son, John of Keokuk, Iowa. I can tell you that many researchers have John James Earley's spouse and mother of all their children as Sophia Simon/Simmons, but I have never seen any documented proof. Instead of Sophia Simon/Simmons, I believe she is Sophia Beausejour. They were married 10 May 1820 in Montreal, Lower Canada (Quebec) at St. Gabriel Presbyterian by J. Somerville, Minister. This record can be found on Ancestry.
What is your lineage from John James Earley?
