I did not have any luck finding a burial location. I will check with some more people who are familiar with where he may have been located when the cemetery was moved. We need a location for the monument when we order it from the VA.--Storres

You are welcome. If you have more relatives I will transfer them to you. I don't have any connections in this cemetery. The memorials were created to avoid confusion and duplication in the nearby Jacksonville Cemetery.--Storres

Thank you Janice, I will try and get to them for you as soon as possible. We have a 3 month old, so getting time for genealogy is kind of limited at the moment.

Have you looked up the Lum or Hyland families?
Millicent's father is Jacob Lum and her mother is Rachel Hyland. Frances Emily Cochran Swartz genealogy is traced back for membership for the Pilgrims also Jacob Lum is listed on the DAR as a Patriot. You can use the Descendants List.
There are two proofs for Rachel being Rachel Hyland who married Jacob Lum.
Doing this genealogy I just realized, I don't have a record like census or birth certificate for my gr.grandmother. I'm sure my grandmother had the records but my cousin has all of that. My gr.grandmother's Mother died in 1876 and my gr.grandmother never live with either parent after that. I am going to try church records and see if I can get a Death Certificate.
I can't find their graves Alonzo Franklin Cochran 1825 - 1901 and Elizabeth R.Burton Cochran 1836 - 1876 could be Maryland or Kentucky, so If you come across them let me know. Thanks again, Bev.

Do you have any info on my grandmother Blanche's mother Isabelle (Elizabeth) Stine many of her children's obits have her maiden name listed as that but several older family members disagree so I hit a brick wall on that one a long time ago, any help I would appreciate. Gloria

Thanks for the tutorial on the new edit request system, which I'm still confused about as I have also been receiving other edit requests the old way, but oh well.
I've made the correction to Anna Madlina Weiser's last name. Thanks for pointing it out!

Thanks for the update about edits, Janice. I did not know this had been changed! Also, any transfers you want from this cemetery you may have-I have no relatives in this area & went to it to do some volunteer photos.

One more thing I forgot to tell you. The edit tab is on your bio page, not on each individual memorial page. That edit tab is different. Look at the top righthand side of your bio page for a small edit tab. It appears just to the left of the contributors tools tab.

|anonymous||RE: new edit feature|
If you have edits that you are not getting the "old" way, a small number will appear next to the edit tab. If there is no number there, there are no pending edits. Once a number appears and you click on the tab, the list will appear. Then you will be able to review your edits, accept, deny or ignore them. With 3,000 memorials, you may not get many. I have over 20,000 and only get those type of edits a couple times a week.

Our Hawks were in Illinois for many years. We (my sister and I) corresponded with an Illinois Hawks woman a couple of months ago. She is descended from a brother of my gr gr grandfather, Greenville Hawks. My sister is the historian for the Hawks - her email address is: firstname.lastname@example.org. If your relatives are into family history have them contact her.

|Jackie||RE: Charles D Evans|
Hulda Hilyard was born Hulda Evans - same parents as Charles. Hulda md Archilles Hilyard (my relative). THere are vague (unsubstantiated) ancestry trees that say CHarles md May Emma Hilyard (a niece of Achilles). It fits yet no proof and Kansas is not big on public records.

|Cathy Lowe Clark||George Boone|
I am so pleased to find your link to George Boone I and wife Sarah Uppey Boone. My link to the Boone family then goes through George Boone II and wife Mary Maugridge Boone to their son Joseph Boone and wife Catherine Brown Boone, then to Catherine Rosanna Boone and her husband Johann Martin Kolter(Coulter) who was married to Elizabeth Aydelotte Coulter.
I really enjoyed reading about your research and adding some of your dates to my family tree.
I will follow your Boone family research in the future.
Sincerely, Cathy Lowe Clark

From where do you get Henry Andrew and Sarah C. Anderson as the parents for Mary Elizabeth Andrew? I have Jesse Andrew and Sarah Warwick Nichol as her parents. If you have evidence I would love to see it so I can correct my files.

|Dorothy Gaston||Edward Morgan and Elizabeth Jarman|
Thanks for the information. I knew that somewhere I had documentation for Elizabeth Jarman, but had forgotten that it was a chart. Thanks for that! Also, thanks for the Spraker note. I was aware that the parents usually listed for Edward were incorrect (James Morgan and Lady Hopton) but I was uncertain whether or not someone might have unearthed additional documentation. With so many old documents being scanned into new availability, it is actually becoming easier to research some of the old puzzles.
I'm a descendant of Sarah Morgan, daughter of your Sarah's brother, John Morgan and his wife, Sarah Lloyd. It's been a delight to be able to say that Daniel Boone is my first cousin, albeit 7 times removed!

|Robert Ashton||George Aumiller photo request|
The only Aumiller I was able to find using the Elkhart County Cemetery Books in the library was this one (117819835) in Rowe Cemetery. There is no date so this might be your George or it might be his son. As you can see from the photo, there is also a base for a marker that could be for another Aumiller.

Thank you for letting me know about the Peter Pontius memorial. However, I am not going to remove my memorial due to the fact that Peter Pontius was buried at the Pontius Cemetery in German Township, Montgomery County, Ohio. Unfortunately, the township, in the middle of the night, came in to the graveyard in 2009 and removed all of the gravestones and grated over the cemetery because it was too much of a nuisance to get to for them to maintain. They removed the gravestones to Old Dutch/Moyer Cemetery along State Highway 725. I have been at the Pontius Cemetery numerous times, and out of respect for the Pontius Family and the others buried in the illegally moved cemetery, I have decided to keep the memorial in place. If there should be any further questions pertaining to the Pontius Cemetery, please refer to Adendum A-Volume 1, Preble County, Ohio Cemeteries, copyright Preble County Genealogy Club.
