RE: Harald M Vaara
The directory for the Ada Cemetery also lists a Nels M. Vaara, but doesn't list any dates or his age. He is buried next to Edward G. Vaara, but I checked and there is no gravestone or marker there.

RE: Harald M Vaara
Unfortunately, I don't know if there are any other Vaaras buried there. Sorry!

RE: Herbert Schultz
Robie,

Thank you very much for your work on the Schultz photos!

Henry (1879 - 1974) was my great aunt's first husband & Herbert (1910 - 1940) was her son. I have not researched the family adequately to recognize the other names, but I strongly suspect that they are Henry's kinfolks. I will need to do some more research & get back to you on that.

I can't clearly make out the dates on Herbert's stone, but it does look like it is other than 1910 - 1940, so it might be his grandfather (just speculation at this point). Find a Grave FAQ's advise against cleaning gravestones (I'm sure to limit their liability in the event of damage), but I usually will clean off the accumulated moss & lichen before I take a photo, especially on the granite stones like this one, since they are quite durable. That helps minimize legibility issues, although they will still sometimes occur.

As I said, I will get back to you on the other names once I have an opportunity to do some more research. Thanks again, & have a great week!

FYI- They are side by side. The Pacific Lutheran Cemetery is now part of Evergreen Washelli and half the PLC burials are listed under Washelli.

Photo Request
Hi, I picked up your photo request for Forest Lawn in Bremerton. When I've been there before they did not give me a map so I had to ask about each specific grave location. Do you know which section and/or plot he is buried in?

His ashes were dis-inter on 8/10/09. This was requested by his only living son. Cemetery records states son was taking ashes to a family plot in Fresno, CA. Belmont Memorial Park 93706.

RE: Vaara
You're welcome! I wish I could have photographed a stone for you. I searched all around the area, but according to the cemetery records, that's where Ms. Vaara is. There are two wooden birds there, with wings that twirl when the wind blows. It's actually kind of sweet!
