Doh. Beats head against wall. I did look at the top of the column, but not under the 2 column story. I had apparently already had her husband's name, got her children's names from the censuses, and the daughters marriages. I guess I will see if they are listed in find a grave. The step children would be Uncle Alec's children.
However, I had once been able to search the Google news archive, then all of a sudden it seemed to be gone, but working with your url, I was able to find it again :)
I really should check out this Ferdinand Beaudoin, and see if he is related on my father's side.

Thank you for the obituary reference. Even though it was cut off short, it gives me enough info to look further. Since I know she was in Berlin, I can find out the name of her husband and of her other daughter through a census search.

Sorry about hitting the enter button before. I only wanted to say thanks for connecting Abner Norcott Jr. with Abner Norcott Sr. It is so great to see the whole family together, because they all were so hard to find.

John & olive Osgood, Thanks very much for the great photos of their grave markers. Also thank you for identifying the location of Olive's grave, as all I knew was that she was cremated.

lol it is like detective work... and it is all the time. I couldn't become an archeologist like I wanted so now I found another way to uncover secrets of the past... I just don't get to enter the tombs or graves. lol

Thank you, Connie. I heard that they had just replayed that interview on tv. That month in Iceland with Emma Watson and Russell Crowe was an unbelievable experience for her. Russell is amazing with the kids and is nothing like Hollywood press makes him out to be. He just doesn't tolerate idiots... so I kind of agree with him on that. lol
Right now they are making a short film she wrote and is directing about bullying "Frenemy". It will be shown in schools across the country to try to educate kids about the problem of bullying. I'm amazed at the people involved in this project. And even more amazed at my little 12-yr old granddaughter. lol Okay... off the Nonnie soapbox now. :)

Thanks for doing the edits on Marie. I finally found her 2nd husband's death and got him entered in the right cemetery with his 1st wife and kids. Of course I didn't find his data until after I found and made memorials for almost his entire family. lol
I linked him to your memorial for Marie.

Thank you for your kind words about my photos....
You and some others are the backbone of the web site with all the research and tying together that you do.
That is the big job!

Dear Connie Lagasse Russell,
Thank you for the compliment on my literary prowess. ;-)
I have of course Accepted your enhancement and the several others Pending.
We hopefully will have this Dup wrapped up in a couple of days.
As for Lea, I'm pretty sure I did my usual best effort through my usual resources and was not able to find her either. That being said, my usual search does not include attempting to scour local newspapers up that way, just on-line sites like SSDI, of course Find A Grave and a cursory stroll through the cemetery list of burials in case there was a typo, and Legacy.com. I don't have residential access to Ancestry as that is either a pay site or available only at my local library locations, so I haven't checked there. I also can't recall if or how much I checked the US Censuses.
If you have an idea where she passed you might want to 'bite the bullet' and check with the local funeral homes, or spend an afternoon getting bleary-eyed looking at microfilmed newspaper obit sections at the library if you have a DoD.
Shoot, for that matter she might be buried in an unmarked grave beside her husband. Worth a call or a visit on a nice srping day.
The old 'apple doesn't fall far from the tree' theory has come through for me on many an ocassion. Happy hunting.
Oh... sure looks like someone was enjoying the ride to or from her husband's favorite ocean fishing spot. :-)
Always, in Find A Grave brother/sisterhood,

Thank you for calling the duplication to my attention. I see where the other memorial was submitted before mine. As Edward Zahn is part of my Florentine family and I have added a bio and other connections I prefer to retrain the management of his site. I will try to reach the person that placed the original and ask to have it deleted. Audrey

Have you found many instances where someone was supposed to be buried in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, but that person isn't included in the Veterans Administration gravesite locator database?

Dear Ms. Russell,
My wife and I are researching our family genealogies.
My 2nd great grandmother was of french canadian ancestry. I have records (1870 US Federal Census) of her being in Toledo, Ohio, USA and married to William Henry Gage. Her maiden name on family vital records is phonically spelled Adelia DeSainey 1840 to ?
I am unable to trace her parents to Quebec or Ontario. I believe she was born near Detroit, between there and Toledo, Ohio around 1840.
Do you know on anyone who may have knowledge of her family or a bound family genealogy that may represent her? Other resources?
Thomas and Susan Hamlin

I have a lot of family pictures, too. I just add them to ancestry and tag the names so that people who are searching can be in touch. I get a lot of responses.
Find A Grave's rules are clear and straightforward.
Rule of thumb: When in doubt, leave it out.
I definitely appreciate your desire to share your mother's collection. But Find A Grave isn't the venue.

I am hoping you can help me out. My GGrandmother was Marie Desanges Laroche. She is buried here at St Peters in Lewiston, Androscoggin, ME. I have a picture of my families headstone called LAROCHE. I am wondering if she is buried in this headstone where the rest of my family is? Are you able to look and tell if she is buried under a red granite headstone? Her name wont be on it. No ones is, its just the last name. Please let me know if you need more information or if you can assist me.
I appreciate the help.

Thank you for your response. Because someone requested a photo for him, I don't see any reason to remove them. The member requesting the photo was perfectly fine with the photos I posted. If I remove the photos someone else can come along and request another photo and they will photograph the same lot. As I indicated before, if you find that the lot information is incorrect, I will be more than glad to take another photo when weather permits. I guess you would have to ask your question of what their relationship is to the member who requested the photo.

Thanks for you message. This wasn't an OOPS. We were fulfilling a photo request. Here is what we typed under our photo.
View of Section 2, Lot 294.
According to the cemetery database, Eduard Roy is interred in this lot.
There is no inscription for him on the gravestone on this lot nor any other grave marker.
If you find that he is buried in a different lot. Please let me know and I will gladly go photograph that lot and remove this one when weather permits.
