We would like to transfer all of our non-relative memorials to relatives ~ just ask. You are welcome to use our grave photos for any noncommercial use (i.e. post on your ancestry.com or other genealogy site tree, whether public or private). All memorials are added and managed with the utmost respect to the individual and the families. It is our way of honoring their legacy and paying tribute to their memory.

Here is a little something that another fellow Find-a-Grave member, Jeff Gonyea, put on his profile:

"We don't "own" the memorials we manage - they are not ours. We may create them, we may update them, we may transfer them to others - we are but stewards. They are Find A Grave memorials of human beings, departed. They are not "friends" on a social media network website to be collected like baseball trading cards. And there's no prize for the one who dies with the most.

The reward (for me) comes from maintaining the most accurate and dignified memorials I can. What we record becomes history, and a record in someone else's family tree. We have a responsibility to do a good job of it. It's a privilege and an honor.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Surnames we would prefer not to transfer include, but are not limited to, the following:
Brackin / Bracken
Dawson
Dillard
Ferguson
Hightower
Latham / Lathem
Lence / Lentz
Miskelly / Misskelly / Miskelley / Misskelley
Sexton
Thompson
****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain the records please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.***** Thank You (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)
