RE: Jane Bull photo
You are very welcome. My friend, Charla and I tried to fulfill photo requests on the Find-A-Grave Day, Oct. 18. This is one of the cemeteries we got permission to explore. The cemetery is not in very good condition. I doesn't look like anyone has been there in quite some time. There are numerous grave stones we found, but could not read anything on the stones. There are headers, footers, and broken headstones. Two of the stones appear to have fallen forward and sunk into the dirt. We suspect that if they were turned over, there would be markings on them. The cemetery is located in the middle of a livestock field, with a fence around it. It made us sad to see the cemetery in such bad shape.

Jesse Frost
Thanks for creating the memorial for Jesse Frost in Gail Cemetery. Did you happen to find the stone for his wife, Emilia Ann (Fowler) Frost? She is my fourth great grandmother and I am having a tough time tracking her down. I wouldn't be surprised if she was right there next to him. Thanks!

Memorial # 49552332. I question your note & link to #16339551 as spouse. According to Death Certificate # 51708, Amanda Wilkerson was born December 11, 1864 in Milan Co., TX and died November 19, 1946 in Maryneal, Nolan Co., TX and is the daughter of L. D. Monroe & Sara Smith, not the wife of L. D. Monroe. Unknown why stone and death certificate have different birth years.

And, you are correct, a duplicate memorial was made over a year after my original but has not be removed to date.

Thank you for drawing my attention to that. Although I had that info in my database, for some reason I didn't enter it on the memorial. One of my biggest questions about this family is where Ada's husband, William Augustus Bedell, is buried. There are several W.A. Bedells, but this particular one was born abt 1835 and died 17 Mar 1890 in TX. I'm wondering if he is also buried at the Gail Cem. in Borden, perhaps in an unmarked grave.

I'm glad to take the picture for you. Cemetery records said she did not have a marker, but when I checked, there it was! I always try to look for a marker even when none is expected--sometimes I'll find a 70 or 80 year old funeral home marker, still intact and readable!

Thank you for pointing that out to me...don't know where my mind wasn't when I added that memorial...I had also gotten the year of death wrong...I corrected that too. Thanks again. P.S. Do you know anything about this family?

Julie E. Moore, Gail Cemetery
First off, I thank ya for your great work. She is my grandfathers sister, the oldest of 10 kids. I have traced everyone (that lived) to modern times. I was in Gail 10-12 years ago looking for her tombstone and all I found was a sunken spot next to her son Johnathan (Bully) Moore. The location was pointed out by a resident who was familiar with the cemetery -but- she had no tombstone. Either I was given bad info or one has been placed since then, at any rate, I have made a copy of your foto for my "genealogy wall" if you don't mind, it will not be circulated on the internet, for that I thank you & for your time and fine work. As to the comment about "it might be her", IT IS !!!, feel free to remove that comment -if you choose to do so-., up to you. Possibly the reason the birth year is incorrect on her tombstone would be that it was done based on the age on her death certificate and not information based on census reports. Again, thanks for a job well done on the complete cemetery.
Respectfully, James Coston

Jared,

I am sorry it has taken me a while to get these transferred, I have been volunteering at the Tabernacle Experience each evening and don't have much time on the computer. I also transferred Harrell W King to you as I believe he was Gus and Ida's son, he is buried next to them with the same headstone as theirs. Anyway, just wanted to let you know the transfers have been made. Have a wonderful day.

Jared, I've been trying to get this person to make edits for months with no response. They now describe themselves as "inactive." Send an e-mail to the administrators (edit@findagrave.com) and ask for Bertie Reddell's memorials (both of them) be transferred to you. Then you can make the needed changes.
