Seth and Lovina Gleason
Hi, Carol,

I hope you are doing well.

I just posted marker photos for Seth, Lovina, and Harriett Gleason. I cut out a lot of the background because the sun was very bright that day. If you'd like me to retake the photos, I won't be able to do that until next spring. Sorry. You can always request a photo again, and perhaps someone else can get one sooner.

Are you related to these folks? I am not, and have not been able to locate them in the 1850 census, the only one in which all of their names should have appeared. I would really appreciate any additional information you might be able to provide. Also, I have no problem transferring folks to family and friends, even outside the find-a-grave transfer guidelines.

Take care.

Carol, I added a photo to Uncle Ed's memorial, if you had one to add, let me know and I'll remove mine.

RE: Link/Ladd
Question? The Uncle Ed Hill you mention and that is buried in the Link Family plot in block M lot 20, is his surname Hill, or Link? Also, I added Irene Mae Link #64509166, buried in the same lot with Arthur and Gettie.

RE: Links and Ladds
He is in Block M, Lot 20, in the Holy Name Catholic Section, the same plot with Ida. I have a photo of his marker, but the stone has faded badly and the name can barely be read. If you'd like to make a memorial, I'll try to get a better photo.

RE: Links and Ladds
Hi Carol, Robert Link isn't listed in the Rose Hill Cemetery records, but there is a R.E. Link: Dec 29, 1858 - May 23, 1926 listed in the Holy Name Catholic section. Could this be the one you are looking for?

You're welcome. I'm glad I could help, and especially so when I can get a good photo for someone's grandparent or great-grandparent.

RE: John R. Carter
Hi Carol,
If John's buried in Corwin his stone is probably illegible/missing but I can't be sure. The other cemetery that he could be in would be Wright's Corners.

Are there any other headstones visible in the photo?

RE: George Ladd
George is buried beside Margrett A. Ladd, her marker says "Wife of G.W. Ladd" I added a photo to her memorial #63968861. Notice her mem says Margaret, her marker says Margrett.

RE: Moncrief/McCarty
Kaye Lane is my mother's first cousin. Our line is as follows:

1. Traci Knott - Me
2. Alicia Carel Knott
3. Margaret Leonora Anderson Carel (Kaye's mother Maurine was Margaret's sister)
4. Ida McCaull Anderson - Willis Elyot Anderson
5. Ada Chunn McCaull - James McCaull
7. Nancy McCarty Chunn - William Chunn
8. Mary Ann Moncrief - Robert Smith McCarty
9. Sophia Brashears Moncrief - Sampson Moncrief

*Mary Ann Moncrief had a brother named William Moncrief. William Moncrief married Margaret Hall, their daughter Margaret Moncrief married Joseph Anderson who was Willis Elyot Anderson's father.

I started working on my father's family, and that has been basically from scratch. This side was much easier. I would love to know how we are related. I have also been talking to a local chapter of the DAR and thinking of joining. I was a history major in college and love learning about where we came from.

RE: Butler Cemetery
Oh MY Gosh....Carol you are WONDERFUL! My cousin and I have looked for those headstones at least 5 times and never been able to find them! Do you have to go behind the white farmhouse?? Are there anymore headstones there? Records show at least 5-6 more people buried there. Three of those are Butlers.

Guess we're cousins....just distant ones :)

Thanks SO much for adding the photos,
Sylvia Warren

RE: 151st Infantry
Hi Carol,
You can't add people to other's virtual cemeteries only your own. Thanks for letting me know about John but I don't see him listed on F.A.G. to add him. -Chris
