What a blessing to find this website where you have taken the time and care to add my child and leave a memorial. Thank you Kimberly Long.

THANKS Kimberly for the Evans transfer. I plan on doing some serious research about his Civil War service. He's had too many years of neglect.

Uncle Glen & aunt Mary
Thank you so much for your quick response. As you could see by the empty urns, not many are around to service the graves. Mary was a mute. I never knew that at the time. I just thought she was shy, which she was.

Thanks again.

Kimberly thanks you for the photos, but as I look at John Short, 7884510, the latest pic is for his father, John Sr. Actually there is a double of the pix for John Jr. so can you delete a couple of them. I guess I got my signals crossed in requesting them. Sorry for the bother.

Thank you for the photo and I imagine you are as surprised as I to see two photos of the same marker. However, I'm equally surprised since I don't know why I would request a photo again. I was probably thinking I was on another memorial is the best excuse I can offer.

Thank you so much for adding a photo of Mary's headstone.
The majority of her family is buried in Iowa. This, in a way, brings her back home.

Mary "Effie" Neal (Kendall)
Thanks for trying to find her gravesite. Apparently there are 2 cemeteries in Logan county Oklahoma known as Mount Hope. Her name was listed under the one in the "Antelope" township. Attached is a link:

RE: Roten grqve marker photos
The website is:

When you get to an item which is darkened or underlined/darkened, that is a hyperlink taking you to the image reflecting the item (photo, birth/death certificate, marriage certificate, grave marker, etc). This is what I would like to use your photos for. The family related to all these photos is found in item 79 of the webpage.

RE: Lucy Taylor
How very kind of you. I listed her in that the cemetery since the rest of her family is in it-- but not knowing for sure if that is where she is buried. Thank you, let me know what you find out either way. Kind regards, Karen

I'd like to thank you for ALL of the Roten family grave photos. They will be appreciated by the family. I would also like to ask your permission to use your photos on a not-for-profit family genealogy website. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to look. I did not know if there would be a marker or not. I greatly appreciate your efforts. Karen

Mentor a Child
RE: tohee cemetery

Thanks for the message.

Here are the directions that I used to locate the cemetery:

From I-35.
East on Waterloo Road to Douglas 2 miles;
North on Douglas to Charter Oak 2 miles;
East on Charter Oak to Choctaw 6 miles;
North on Choctaw for one mile.
Turn right, cemetery on left.

You might want to search "Evansville Cemetery, Logan County, OK" in Google Maps. This is where the Tohee Cemetery is located.

Also, I have a map of Logan County which I cannot post to this message but can send to you via E-Mail.

All the best,

Dan V.

Resthaven Cemetery Photo Request

You made a photo request on Find A Grave in Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City. This cemetery is ENORMOUS, so to get a photo a plot location is needed. Please contact the funeral home:

The funeral home charges non-family members to do plot location lookups, so please mention your relationship. When you have the plot number, add it in the PLOT box (if you own the memorial). If you don't own the memorial, send me an email with the information.

Good Luck,
