My pleasure...family should be with family.

I try not to touch the stones if I can help it. I don't use chemicals, but just water and sometimes a soft brush. I don't always have them with me though. I had a large list of those I wanted to find so I didn't have the time I needed to spend on those that were more difficult to read. The mottling on some of them makes it almost impossible to read them.
I am always amazed at how some stones in the same era look almost untouched and yet others have worn to where you can barely tell that there was any inscription on it at all.
Thank you for your kind words. I hope I can help you again.

I reposted grave photos of Clara and Guy, little better exposure. I posted grave photos of Harry David, Edith G, Henry F, and Ida May Ward Myers, all of whose memorials you created. I created memorials for Norma L Myers, whose husband G. Barry is apparently still alive, there's no date of death on the stone. If they are your family I'll be glad to transfer management to you. I created a memorial for Elizabeth M Myers, whose stone is next to Harry D and Edith G, she had no memorial. I assume she must be your family. I can transfer management to you.

I searched thru several newspapers
St.Paris News-Dispatch, Urbana Press and the St.Paris New Era.
I looked for the surnames Gibbs, Wells & Faulkner.
I could find nothing for her under any name from 1900 to 1910. Tragic about Laura. I did find the two articles about the incident
The only documentation I have is the cemetery lot record for section 1 lot 44
This lot is owned by Samuel & C.F. Gibbs.
There are several Gibbs buried in this lot. Laura is listed as Laura Gibbs(1903) on the lot record along with Joseph L Gibbs (1903) the next grave is Maud with no death date. This is the west side of the lot.
When I review the 2002 publication by Rick Burnside (who was the caretaker at the time) he has alpha listing as this:
Wells, Maude Gibbs death May-1895
I am contacting one of my aunts who has done alot of family history up there to see if she has anything on the Faulkner and Gibbs families.

OK, I'll take them next Sunday. I'll retake Guy's also as it looks kind of washed out to me, maybe because it was in the shade.

You sent me an edit for Deborah Standley.
I have never seen the given name Demorest and I can't find anything for it at LDS sites or other sites. Please send your source for this change. Stanley or Standley were often used by this group but I will continue to use Standley for her since her husband used that spelling. Are you related to this family ? If so, please let me know how since I am always interested and could share with you, etc. thanks, Werner Stanley email@example.com

There is no visible monument as of Jun-2005 when I transcribed the cemetery lot records, interment records and photographed the cemetery in it's entirety
name obtained from 2002 publication by Rick Burnside previous cemetery caretaker

|Deborah Dustman||John Banta, 12 OCT 1805- 30 SEPT 1864|
As you know, John Banta (12 OCT 1805, Banta’s Fork, Preble, Ohio - 30 SEPT 1864, Royal Center, Cass, Indiana) died 10 miles away from home as he was returning from service in the Civil War/Union Army.
When my husband and I visited Indian Creek Cemetery where John is buried, we looked for the headstone pictured on Find-a-Grave:
Unfortunately, it is apparent that the headstone has crumbled and is now gone. I want to replace the headstone, as both his memory and honorable service as a veteran for our country should be commemorated.
If you or others to whom you can refer me know how to proceed or wish to get involved in the gravestone replacement, please contact me. Thank you!

This is a memorial that I inherited. I did not create it or the data therein. There are many such as this that need attention, thus why they were transferred. I will need to research it further. Appreciate your bring it to my attention.

The Daughters of Union Veterans have been honoring Corintha for many years, as they assumed that if she has a military stone issued by the govenment that she was involved in the war along with her husband. The Sons of Union Veterans have listed the Nurses in their data base of veterans as well at SUVCWDB.org
