Hello Mr. Diehl,
My name is Kathy Finnigan Quade and I am researching my family history, The Williams of Burleson County.
In researching my family, I had a great Aunt by the name of Allie Matilda Williams. She married a Fletcher J. Nixon on May 7th, 1894.
According to an old family photo I found in my Aunt's chest, Allie and Fletcher had 3 children.
Jesse Lee Nixon
Ethyl L. Nixon
Joseph Edgar Nixon
Joseph Edgar is the person I am writing you about. Is it possible that Joseph Edgar is your Joe Edward Nixon? Do you know his parent's history? Their names or where they are from?
All I have is this picture of their family, with my aunt's handwriting listing Fletcher and his sister with her baby, Allie and Joe Edgar as a baby, a small girl which is listed as Ethyl Nixon and a young teenager which is listed as Jesse.
I am so excited to have found this possible lead.
I am the youngest grandchild and my older cousins didn't even know where their great Aunt had been buried. It has been a long journey, but an interesting one.
I believe you would be interested in the Williams if they are your family. You may view them in my public tree "Williams Ancestry Tree" at Ancestry.com if you wish.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Have a wonderful holiday.
Thanks so much, Kathy Finnigan Quade

Then that makes us kin! Matthew Parker's 1st wife was Mary Isabelle "Polly" Isaacks, who was my 2nd great grand aunt. Cannot wait until I need to go to Hemphill (that is where we have to go to buy groceries) and find the marker. Thank you so very much. Kay

Attached to pictures on FindAGrave for Matthew Arnold Parker (memorial # 37418516), you have attached a photo of a historical marker concerning said Matthew Parker. Could you please tell me where this marker is located? Thanks, Kay

Hello Jack, are you related to John Southard or Elizabeth Brewer family buried in Quaker Hill Cemetery? I noticed you put a message below John Southard's tombstone that he was buried by Elizabeth. Just wondering :)

|Colleen Turnbow English||RE: Gilmore|
Jack, Thank you so much for fullfilling my request and going the 'extra mile' and photographing the other Gilmore family markers in Quaker Hill Cemetery. You will likely note that I have requested an additional picture for the marker of Rachel Gilmore... of which there are two Rachel Gilmores... both were married to John Gilmore... it may be that the second Rachel Gilmore (1832-1888) does not have a marker. THANKS SO MUCH!! Colleen
