Georgia, thanks so much for the photo of my cousin's marker. It's too bad these things get knocked over. Thanks again, Earl.

Hi Georgia. No I didn't see one for Merlin. I looked around at the nearby lots but didn't see any other Martins.

|Roger Parsons||RE: oddil c renaud vanhoten|
Yes, Calvin Smith was Oddil's (also spelled O'Dell or Odell) second husband, married in Pontiac, Oakland County, Michigan on 06 Jul 1923. She married William Leslie "Leslie" VanHoten sometime after 1930 but don't have the exact date.
I can check my files this weekend and see what else I can find on her. I'd be interested in more information on Calvin and his exact death date (Sept. 1969 in Dearborn MI?) and burial location as well.

I noticed that you have Defore's listed in your family. Are any of them around Owen County, Indiana?

No I don't know where he is buried. His son told me that Marie was buried in Chicago, so I didn't realize she was buried there.
She is a my husband's great aunt.

|D. L. Lee||Fulkerson Photographs|
I found Essie and Earnest Ray Fulkerson's markers and posted photographs, but I feel confident that the dates on the memorials are more accurate that the ones engraved on their markers. The markers were probably added at a much later date which would explain the errors. The dates on the memorials posted by L. Kirby are from the certificates of death. This confirms that her date for Earnest Ray is correct.
There was a third marker that I am setting up a memorial and tranferring to your care. I was unable to find any related information that matched this single date for a birth or a death. D. L.

|Linda Russell||RE: condolences|
Thank you Georgia for your condolences. The only reason I had not added her memorial to Find A Grave when I did the rest of my family was that she was still living. I appreciate you taking yours off and I do understand that you had it on first but when you put it on she was still living. Yes I do have a lot of very good memories of her. She was a very amazing woman. Again thank you, Linda

|William Harrison||RE: norton headstone|
I'm glad I was able to help.
There are 4 Norton memorials posted w/3 photos.
I see a listing for the infant, Doris Norton (1916-1916), in two different lists, but did not see an infant marker near Lewis, Frankie & Kenneth's markers.

|Sandra Taylor||RE: Bessie Marie Higgs and Dewey Boone|
Thank you for checking with your/our cousin. If we could get an obit that would be wonderful. I live in South Carolina, so it is not something I can do very easily. It is good we can find relatives and fill in some pieces. I have confirmed documentation of my lineage to my 2nd great grandmother, Letitia Ann Smith Conley. I have been able to find the grave site of my 3rd great grandfather, Squire Lowry Smith, Sr in Illinois. I have not been able to locate his wife, Leticia B Oldham; we have so many different spellings of her first name it makes it difficult. I have traced her to 1900, when her daughter, Mary Conley was living with her in Clay County, Illinois. I'll let you know if I find anything else on Bessie (Higgs) or Dewey Boone.
