My family was in Alpha (I believe)
Not sure where the Williams side is I only have my grandfather's name who died in KY which was Joseph Franklin Williams, married to Mary C Hicks Williams.
I am hoping this makes me a bit more savvy about genealogy. I am a new to this at 60 yrs old :-)

It was my privilege to visit this small cemetery. I have relatives that I can not locate in Kentucky, I am hoping this will help me learn how to locate them.

I did take a picture of the other side and she is listed as "Betsy" I am assuming her preferred nick name??? I did post that picture a couple of times on open searches. I hope this helps you. There were some stones covered in moss and I hope to go back better prepared and see if I can find the child Nancy and a couple of other's that are still outstanding.

|Old Waco||Lower Benson Presbyterian Cemetery|
Hello Mary Dan,
Thanks for your interest. I have never been to Franklin County or the cemetery. I hope this link may get you close to it. I understand the cemetery is near the "Julian Farm" which is on the National Register. Its application mentions the cemetery and directions to the farm. Jane Julian has lived on the property and knows about the cemetery, tho I've never met her.
The cemetery is often overgrown I'm told. There are veterans of the American Revolution and the War of 1812 there.
Any help is appreciated!!
T B Willis

|Kate Jacques||Beech Creek|
I forgot to mention - I understand that Beech Creek has been cleaned up and stones set right. I have not been out there since that happened and my photos on Find A Grave were taken when it was still basically a mess.

Hello Mary Dan,
I do not know whether there are more Tinsleys in Beech Creek, but will ask someone that has the Shelby Co Cemetery book and get back to you.

This cemetery is very small and I think all stones that are still visible in this cemetery are already added but I can go there again and check. Jess

I see. The bush is fine, as good as we can get.
Great that you documented what the elder grounds keeper had to say.

Sorry, I didn't understand about "seeing the bush where she is supposed to be". Did you send or post a photo? Cheers,

|Buddy||Mary Hedger in Hebron Cemetery|
Thanks for your efforts.
Mary's full name is:
Mary Eunice Tunks Hedger.
She was married to Rev John Thomas Hedger who is buried in Tunks Cemetery, also Anderson Co., KY
The Annie M Hedger already has a photo posted thank you.
I think all the Hedger's in Hebron are cousins or married to cousins. Most have marker photo with exception of Mary and perhaps two others listed on Find A Grave. I'd be interested in any Hedger's you find and happy to add them to Find A Grave if you aren't.
Thanks for your continued efforts.

The James and Annie Gillis marker photos indicate a third engraving to the right. Could this be their daughter Katherine who died young? If so I have placed a photo request for her memorial that you may be able to fullfil as well?

Thanks you for the Gillis photos. I appreciate your efforts and very quick response!

|Red||RE: Preston Bond|
Thanks for the info. I am in Tulsa, OK. I don't know much about the Bond family other than a short reference to Preston in my family history book. Preston's grandson, William Ira, married into my Huss family. In the book it says that Preston was a member of a pioneer KY family but I have not located his parents. Red

Thank you so much for taking the time to photograph Preston's headstone. I really appreciate you doing this for me. Red

|Hank Cox||RE: Carrie Slicer Burns|
The Lexington Cemetery records don't include a Carrie Burns. They do list a Dennis Burns, buried on Mar. 16, 1896, aged 60. He is buried in Section P, Lot 132, Grave 130.
The phone number for the cemetery is 859-255-5522; they might be able to give you more specific information.
