|Charles Dean Crosby||RE: Henry Cemetery|
Yes I have several times in the past 5 days. Let me explain. We just moved here to Gatlinburg about 5 months ago, when I retired. About 2 weeks ago, I signed up on findagrave.com as a volunteer to fill photo requests. There must be thousands of requests in this area. There were a few recent requests for Williams Cemetery, so I headed there for the first time ever, a few days ago. The GPS and map location was for Williams Gate Cemetery, so I ended up there and realized something was wrong. With a little local research I found out Williams Cemetery is in Jones Cove. I was there yesterday filing requests, took pictures of cemetery, etc.
So to answer your question, I had never been to Jones Cove until just the past few days. Beautiful hill country, remote, and everything there is private property, so must be careful.

I took three pictures of Williams Cemetery today and posted them. It takes a day to get approved by findagrave.com. Also, findagrave.com has an incorrect GPS and map for Williams Cemetery. It is actually the location for "Williams Gate Cemetery" a few miles away. I have sent findagrave.com a message about this. "Williams Gate Cemetery" is difficult to get to. Williams Cemetery is beautiful, on top of a bald hill & easy to get to. I did not realize until I got back home that "zero" pictures had been taken of memorials in Williams Cemetery. Next time I am that way, I will take all the pictures.

let me know if you do ever get this way, and I will be glad to help you locate some of these cemeteries, as some are hard to find in the Smokey Mountains. Plemmons Cemetery only accessible with a 1/4 to 1/2 mile hike up a beautiful trail. It is beautiful, well preserved old cemetery.

You might want to correct the birth date of John H "Bullhead" Whaley birth year from 1817 to 1815 as it is causing a virus on Ancestry. Ralph Martin

|PSS||RE: Martha Whaley-Sise|
I believe you pointed me in the right direction on Mattie Whaley Sise, also my direct line, great grand mother. Are you SherryWhaley2 on Ancestry.com? I go by MsgtPhil2 on Ancestry. James Wilson's father John Samuel Sise Sr. was the first of the first of the East TN. Sise family or at least I've yet to run into an East Tennessee Sise not in his line. He moved here from New Jersey, from there the family tracks back to Germany. James' mother Sarah Ann Gann came from the Jefferson County branch of the Gann Family. The Gann family spread through Jefferson and Greene Counties about as prolifically as the Whaley family spread through Sevier County. The Gann family has their own historical society and library. http://gannhistory.org/page2.html
Thanks for taking on the posting of some of the family to 'Find A Grave' I just signed up a few days ago.

Yes, I'm on both FB and Ancestry.com. You might ought to check for me on Facebook first. I don't have a full subscription to ancestry, but I do think they let me message people there also.

|David Trentham||Nancy Jane King|
There definitely seems to be a little confusion going on. I think we have two different Nancy Jane Kings here. My Nancy Jane King (28 Jul 1880 - 10 Apr 1976) was married to Lewis Nicanor King (18 Sep 1877 - 30 Apr 1951) who is buried right next to her at Huskey Grove Cemetery. Her Dad was William Riley King (1850-1940) but her Mom was Sabria King (1863-1933), not Anna Maples.
Its possible that William Riley King had another daughter named Nancy Jane (1885-1904) by Anna Maples...the one that was married to David Moore (1878-1953). All I know is that both Nancys are listed as the daughters of W.R. King.
I don't know if that helps or not,

Thank you so much for the info you sent me about "Big Bill" Walker...I have added it to his memorial.
I noticed a message to you concerning Phillip Emert. The Emerts were my ancestors and I wondered...were you related to them as well or do you have info pertaining to them?
Thank you again for the info.

Hi! How have you been?
I will try to answer your questions if I can...do I have your email address? I am only able to send a public message, and I did not find a message on Philip Emert's memorial. Perhaps it is an oversight on my part.
