Celia V. Catherman Rawson
Thank you for maintaining the memorial for Celia Rawson. Are you a descendant? Celia's mother was Sarah E. Catherman. Sarah was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Emig. I am in contact with a descendant of Jacob and Elizabeth Emig through their son George. She is interested in sharing information. Please email me and I will forward it to her. Thank you. Got your request to note marriage to Sarah Willard in 1824 per A G Franks. My info for him says he died in 1848 @ 34 yrs old, making him 10 yrs old in 1824. ????? Are my dates wrong???

Rawson Family in Oak Grove Cemetery, Coldwater, Mi.
Hello Mr. Rawson,

I see that you have all the Rawsons in this cemetery but the ones I have. I am transferring them to you. I dont know if they are all kin but they are all on 2 lots right next to each other. I hope you do not mind.

I have added his death Certificate to his memorial page. I have found quite a few more Rawson's in Michigan and have added them. So you may want to recheck the Rawson's in MI to see if your related. I did this mainly for a friend of mine named John Rawson who lives in St. Johns, Clinton Co.,MI. His brother Mike is working on their Genealogy and I wanted to help them.

Rawson @ San Lorenzo Pioneer Cemetery
Hi Richard,

Thanks for the information on the Rawson family buried in San Lorenzo Pioneer Cemetery. I've updated their pages with the details that you provided and I linked the three of them together; I gave you credit for the additional information in the "note" section of each of their pages as well. Were they your family?

RE: Connect to parents
It's actually been quite a few years since I've last been to Sunset View. My visits were during the mornings when the weather was cooler and when there were few other visitors around.

From what I remember of my visit is that the staff and grounds crew were really helpful. One of the grounds people actually walked with me around the cemetery to help locate some of the cemetery's notable burials (which, given the fact it was a hot day and that the cemetery is on the side of a hill, was really impressive). However I have also heard of another photographer having been told to leave the cemetery, though I cannot remember the reason why.

The only thing regarding policy I know for sure is for the Sunset Mausoleum, which allows photos to be taken as long as they are for personal use.

I don't believe you will have any problems since you are related to the people who you are looking for.

Regretfully, I'm no longer active as a cemetery photographer due to my busy schedule. However you may have some luck trying the Findagrave photo request feature, though it may be a while before someone is able to fulfill the request.

Best wishes,
Gerald M.

RE: Connect to parents
I have transfered both memorials to you.

I personally don't have a family connection to Benjamin and Cordelia. I had originally photographed their marker during my first visit to the cemetery. I was focused primarily on locating Civil War veterans at the time and the GAR inscription on their marker had caught my attention.

RE: Connect to parents

Thanks for sending me the link info for Benjamin Rawson's parents. I have gladly updated his memorial.

Is Benjamin a relative of yours? If so, I would be happy to transfer both his and and wife's memorial to you if you would like. Feel free to let me know.

Best wishes,
Gerald M.
