Oliver & Leota Williams
I just added an obit for Oliver Williams and a death notice for Leota Williams. They are both from the Cumberland Evening Times. My husband is related to the Rectors as well. Charles & Arrabella 'Allie' Rector are his great-great grandparents.

RE: Amelia B Sanford Glendening #64684915

1841 came from her death certificate at Familysearch. I know there is sometimes a discrepancy between the death certificate and the tombstone. The death certificate might have been an estimate of her date of birth. I do not know who the informant for that information was.I do not have any conclusive information as to her date of birth. Feel free to use whatever information you would like for this.

Melanie Branham
RE: Oscar C Younker @Locust Grove Cem

My records said that Oscar's dad John was married in 1885 to America Branham & that she was Oscar's mother. I think Rosa Bowers was John's 2nd wife. She wasn't born until 1880. Maybe she was Oscar's step-mom or the one that raised him. I don't know how to list 2 mothers for an entry on findagrave. I think all we can do is list notes explaining what we've found. Yes, I'd be happy to handle Oscar's page. Thanks.

RE: Jane Harper Morris
Is it ok to delete? It is a duplicate and I found my cousin was maintaining the other Jane Harper Morris grave. It was a great connect with him.

May I ask what records you are refering to? On Ancestry is the record someone's tree or some other record?

Added by shirleyw55 on Aug 05, 2014 9:18 PM

Thank you for adding the is always so fulfilling to to see people and to learn more about them. I am not the person you inquired about. My Adams connection is very remote, and so entangled in marriages, I am not sure how it evolved...I have 100,000+ ancestors in my tree. Kathy

Please do add your picture of Gertrude "Trudy"...just follow the cropping guidelines to save space, and thank you so very much for the contribution. I am related, but distantly through a marriage line. Kathy

I do not know if William H. is a son or not. I had a friend take a bunch of pictures for me and I will see if that is one she took. I will let you know what I find out.

RE: re: Jeremiah Jaycox & Lavinia Tompkins Jaycox
I have gone back and looked through my records. Jeremiah and Lavinia are on the same monument as William H. Jaycox # 131868245 and his wife Elizabeth Anderson # 131868271. And they are actually in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery. Which is a separate cemetery inside of Hopewell Cemetery. Pilgrim's Rest is the cemetery that belongs to the old church and Hopewell is a non denominational public cemetery.
Hope I haven't made this too confusing.
And there are other Tompkins in that cemetery.
