Yes - Nancy Coffman Jordan was Philip Warder Jordan's wife. I assumed they were in the same cemetery. She died ten years after him.

When did you claim these pics. They were unclaimed at 10 on Saturday morning.
Gas is too expensive to duplicate taking pics.
Didn't see you at the cemetery Saturday afternoon.

Earnest E. Brummer
Hi Nancy,
This cemetery is locked up and what I can see through the fence is overgrown with grass & weeds. I will pursue this with the city of Vallejo and see what can be done to find a plot map and markings. It might be awhile but I'm persistent. :-)

Pam Barns
Sampson and Angdelanian "Angie" Bryan Lowman
Hi Nancy,

Thanks for trying to locate the Lowmans. Sampson and his first wife, Mary Wilson Lowman, had four children according to a write-up, "General History of Shelby County, Missouri," -- 1911.
It mentions John D., and his older brother. William M. Lowman. It does not mention the other two children from this marriage.

Sampson married second to Angdelanian "Angie" Bryan Lowman and they had two children, Florence B. Lowman who married Joseph C. Graddy and another child who died prior to 1911 when the above write-up was written.

Sorry I can't be of more help at this moment. It will take a little extra research to come up with the names you mentioned. I'll see what I can come up with and get back to you.

Thanks, again, for your help.
Pam

RE: Prince Dimmitt stone
Hi Nancy,
It is not a good idea to clean the stone as it may cause futher damage. I have seen many ideas on the web on how to clean them, but a friend of mine who owns a momument company also made the suggestion to not clean them. If you want a family's stone cleaned, he suggests having a professional do it. Just do the best you can with the photo. Sometimes taking the photo at different angles and heights will help.

RE: Earnest Brummer
There probably is a group that would do it, but it would take someone to stand up and make the suggestion or take charge. I wanted to do that before I moved out of California, but never got the chance. I think the cemetery is forgotten about for the most part and many people don't even know its there. I went to high school in Vallejo and passed that cemetery every day, and never knew it was there until only earlier this year when a relative told me about it. It is a shame how forgotten it is.

RE: Earnest Brummer
Nancy,
I wish I knew the location of Earnest. I entered the information for the cemetery based on this website
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cagsv/carquinez_cemetery.html
The Genealogy Society of Vallejo Benicia compiled the list by conducting records research and by walking the cemetery. (I wasn't part of the research, and only listed the information on findagrave.com.)

They might have some updated information now. I would try to contact them via email. The email addresses are on their website http://gsvb.org/

They can be slow to reply. When I was inquiring about my ancestors, it took several months for a reply.
I dont know if you have ever been to Carquinez Cemetery, but it is in shambles, to put it mildly. The cemetery is maintained by the city of Vallejo, and they trim down the grass and the other vegetation once a year. A lot of the headstones and markers and vandalized or have been taken. My ancestors stone was missing, and it took me three trips to the cemetery to find the plot.

I wish I could be more help. If you have any more questions let me know. I am more than willing in any way I can.
