I've been gathering material to write a short biography on Jacob A Heist, and though his pension records confirm the amputation of his left leg, I couldn't find anything about him being a prisoner of war or having had a re-amputation.

Would you mind forwarding this email to Tina or another member of the Gravehound group to ask them for their source on his capture and second amputation information? I'd like to include it in his bio if they would kindly share the original source.

Thanks a lot,

James Schutze

Thomas Hartley
His mother's name was Margaret Christie Hartley. I keep thinking she's buried in Heavenly Rest Cemetery but can't find the proof. She was last living with Eustace, 1880 Census, in Kawkawlin.

Sorry I didn't add his mother's name. Thanks again for your time and effort. Cheryl

4th Michigan Infantry
Memorial transfer
Thank you for transferring the memorial for Daniel Hibner, a soldier in the Fourth Michigan Infantry, to me. I really appreciate it. I noticed that in your bio for him that you had memtioned his serving as a color-bearer (flag holder).... can you give me the source of that information? I have just ordered his military records to see if they refer to that service.
Thanks again,
George

Hi,
Can I ask you were you are coming up with all of the burial records that you are adding to cemeteries. I have done extensive research on one of the cemeteries that you have done this too and I cannot find any record of the burials. Have you done any additional research to locate the birth and death or burial dates? Many of the information you include like where they live is a very long distance from this cemetery.

my email address is cdlake @ chartermi.net (push together) as I would like to correspond with you about this.

Thank You,
Denise Ferguson Lake

There is a GAR marker in front of his grave. Can you please direct me to where I can find out about his activity in the Civil War?
