I see you have a photo request for the Allen-Wilson cemetery. Can you tell me where it is located? I can't find it anywhere.

|Honora Wright Weaver||Mary Stanley/Stanley Cemetery|
I was at the library today and looked in a book on the history of Stanley Cemetery. It lists John and Mary Fordham Stanley as having died in North Carolina. I did not find her grave there yesterday.

You're welcome. I didn't see the others when I went through, but a storm was coming so I'll try to get back and do a double check.

I see where you've created a memorial page in the Henry and Green Family Cemetery. Could you advise exactly where that cemetery is located? I didn't know if you knew that there was a Green-Henry Cemetery also established in Baldwin County and was wondering if they were one and the same. Thanks so much for your time! Patty Shreve

Sorry No stone,2nd Lt. James Augusta Lindsey
Hollywood Cemetery Gettysburg Section Problem:
There were almost 3,000 Confederates returned from the Gettysburg battle field to Hollywood in the 1870's. Regretfully it seems that there were no records kept as to the exact location of their placement on what was then known as Gettysburg Hill.
Now known as The Gettysburg Section, the only tombstones are those placed by ancestors through research. Since the exact location of each burial is unknown the stone are aligned in rows beginning along the top of Gettysburg Hill. As others are added they are arranged in rows moving in line to the east.
Should you desire to have a headstone placed?
The fee from Hollywood is $100 for the headstone footer. The headstone itself is free as they are considered veterans. The following is the link for the Veterans paper work http://www.va.gov/vaforms/va/pdf/VA40-1330.pdf
James was promoted to 2nd Sergeant on August 10, 1862. He fought and was wounded at the Sunken Road ("Bloody Lane") during the battle of Sharpsburg, Maryland, on September 17, 1862. He was elected to 2nd Lieutenant March 15, 1863 and wounded again at he battle of Chancellorsville, Virginia, May 3rd 1863. His final battle was at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. During Brigadier General A. R. Wright's charge, he was wounded and captured. On July 24, 1863, at the age of 26, he succumbed to his wounds at a Gettysburg Hospital

|Jo Ann Stokes||Do you know?|
Do you know if perhaps there is an unmarked grave beside my grandfather, M. L. Burrell in Carlock Cemetery? He is buried beside his first wife and it looks like there was enough space for my grandmother, Rene Burrell, (his second) on the other side of him. I know I'm grasping at straws, but I've been unable to locate her grave - been searching for 2 years. I'm sure it must be an unmarked grave. She passed in 1938 at my parent's home in Polk County (Reliance/Servilla); however, I've seen references that she passed in McMinn County and was buried in Cog Hill, but didn't locate it there. Thanks for any insight.
