How exciting to get this edit request to link to Calderwoods. I hope you will fix the text in John's bio as it has long and short line lengths. This happens when you cut and paste from a source with wider line lengths. You have to go into the findagrave bio and manually correct this... at end of short line, hit "delete" to bring up the next words. I notice too that many members do not understand findagrave format does not recognize indented paragraphs... one has to use style of leaving a line space to separate paragraphs. At any rate, I am not related to Increase Leadbetter, just research local history. Increase Leadbetter is one of the most wonderful names. -Amy

|MaggiD||Found Burdin Graves|
My son and I searched for an hour - finally found the 3 gravestones (all laying flat) of James S, Marry C and Calvin H Burdin. They were all on the lowest part of the cemetary near the Hoyt monument. If anyone is interested we have photos; not sure where to post them.

|MaggiD||James,Mary and Calvin Burdin|
My mother, Mary Paine Hunter (of Hallowell) has been searching for the graves of James and Mary Carleton Burdin for decades. I found their names on this list http://www.maine.gov/megis/pdfs/cemeteries/Kennebec/Kennebec%20County.pdf page 148 and see that they are interred at grave marker# X8 and X9 at the Mt. Hope/Vernon Cemetary in Augusta. My son and I will be going out tomorrow to find these. Mary Carleton (whose family Carleton Pond was named after) is my Mothers Mothers great grandmother. She was also the neice of John Hubbard, Governor of Maine.

What is your relationship to Sarah waltz who is buried in Dutch neck cemetery in waldoboro. I have done a page on her on findagrave. Do you have a line from her to you which you could email me email@example.com my grandfather was James waltz from waldoboro who owned the waltz funeral home. His wife was Cora hook.

Any chance that I can get a copy of the photo or Capt. Daigle in his flight suit or uniform. I'd add it to a page that I'd be honored to assemble on his behalf on my air corps website, www.dainthecbi.com.

Thank you for the additional information. Given his young demise, her marriage to Chapman followed the death of Nelson Austin?

The edit request you submitted for her parents has not yet been processed...but they are automatically processed after 30 days. At that time, the sibling connection to 111526454 will be apparent. Thanks!

Glad you liked the photo. I took several photos yesterday it was a beautiful day for it. Ann turned out to be buried pretty close to one of my Bramble ancestors in Duck River.

|Judi Wollenziehn||RE: Emily and Nathaniel Thomas|
No relation, actually. Whenever we're on vacation, we stop at cemeteries in the area to take photographs of headstones for findagrave.com. I enjoy creating memorials for all of them but especially like posting the really old ones, the ones of military personnel, and the ones for infants.
My history club students have adopted the children's area in a local cemetery. They raise funds to purchase headstones for children in unmarked graves (http://www.theleaven.com/past_issues/_pdf/v31/Leaven10-30-09.pdf).
Take care now,

Thank you SO much for the additional information on Emily and Nathaniel. I've updated them both. Since they are distant relatives of yours, I will be happy to transfer their memorials to you, if you'd like.

Just to let you know that I will be in that area with two other cemeteries nearby that have photo requests and will be happy to get your photo, if I can find him, of course. The "Catch" is I won't go until "black fly" season is over with . . sometime in June. If no one else has taken the picture, I will.
