RE: William H. Fear
Thank you for letting me know. I found a message stream a relative of mine started regarding the Fears and he says that Mary Delilah is buried there. I am trying to locate an obituary to confirm this. If one turns up I will let you know.

I see you have a memorial set up for William H. Fear. Do you happen to know where his wife, Mary Delilah Lanter Fear is buried?

Thanks for your help,
Teri Showalter

RE: grave of Griffith Gartin
Thanks for you reply.

My Griffith Garten was born c 1763 in Orange Co, VA. He is direct-line kin. His father was Elijah Garten, son of Uriah.

My Griffith married Hannah Miller 9-19-1787 Greenbriar, VA. He died sometime aroind 1835 and his will is filed in Monroe Co, VA (now WVA).

His daughter Ellen, who I'm descended from, was born in Monroe but married in Fulton County, Indiana, to Charles Callaway.

For some reason I thought that my Griffith went along with her to Fulton Co and possibly was buried nearby. I have never found his grave.
When I saw your memorial to your Griffith I thought it was my Griffith, lol.

Anyway I'm glad to have met you. The Garten family is very interesting.
Best wishes,

RE: grave of Griffith Gartin
I'm a direct descendant of Griffith Garten of Virginia, who died c 1835, Monroe Co, WVA, and who married Hannah Miller, through their daughter, Ellen Garten, married Charles Callaway. I don't suppose that the elder Griffith's gravesite will ever be found.
Thanks for posting the Gartin graves in Decatur Co.

RE: Hartsville Baptist Cemetery
Thanks so much Rick...I just now saw your note. My bad. It's a shame all these Indiana cemeteries didn't keep better records. I had no problem in Nebraska this summer finding some of my relatives.

Columbus....I'll check there and thanks for the heads up.

Happy New Year!

Hartsville Baptist Cemetery
Rick...saw your name here on Find a Grave.

There are two babies buried at the above - both in 1915. Is there anyone who still has the cemetery records? Of course they aren't shown on the internments...but we know they are there per death certificates and family info. Or, whatever became of the Hartsville Methodist Church from the same area?

Thanks for any help.
