Commemorative stele in memory of some American soldiers who died during the Normandy landings.
Hello.

I am French and quite impressed since a very early age by the events surrounding D Day, and by the tremendous testimony they impart, I am the initiator, for the 70th birthday of D-DAY, of a commemorative stele in memory of some American soldiers who died during the Normandy landings. Particularly sensitive to the value of service to others, I have always felt the urge to transmit to the younger generations the memory of those valiant soldiers who, thanks to the selfless sacrifice of their lives, took part in the tremendous movement which lead to the liberation of Europe from Nazi oppression.
As a complement to this commemoration, I have written a book both in French and English which tells the story of some of those men.

Would you please allow me to use the pictures of Anthony M Wincenciak, J in my book?
My e-mail address is avevalleegilles@yahoo.fr

Best regards.

Gilles Vallée

Thank you for the headstone photographs. I am pleased to have them recorded at findagrave because the stones are showing the wear and tear of the elements.

Grunders
Mickey, Thanks for the offer... If the Grunders are of no relation to you, I would be more than happy to manage files until a closer relative can be found...
Mildred Grunder is a distant cousin, Robert Grunder is her husband... I am pretty sure that Rodger Grunder is their son, and Roberta Walter their daughter.
If easier, I can request each of the files separately.

Sincerely,
Jessica
