Re: Edmund Tapp
Hi Angela:
I can't believe I'm responding to your message from 08/30/2010. My humble apologies (bowing my head in shame). Here I've been trolling the Find-a-Grave website for photos of my ancestors and never checking into the forums--until now! My connection to Edmund is through his daughter Jane who was married to Gov. Robert Treat. Here is an item of interest. The Milford CT Historical Society is holding an event July 19, 2014--375th anniversary of the founding of Milford--our Edmund being one of the founders. Here is the website: http://daneovideo.com/mhs-new/anniversary.php.

So what is your connection to Edmund?

RE: Carter family from Maplewood MO
WOW!!
New Pickers is inside of Gatewood Cemetery. Most came from Old Pickers too.
Harder to find markers in this cemetery. Can become pretty overgrown. Karl Kleen works on this one and I believe he is trying to photograph this one as well. I will add you to my list but don't know when I can get there as this time. I am working on some special projects for a couple cemeteries.

RE: Scipio Rural Cem in Cayuga County
Hi Angela,
I live in Florida but was fortunate enough to take a trip to New York to research my ancestors. I try to check this site before I go to a cemetery and fulfill when I can but I'm not sure when I can go up again. There are some very helpful historians in Cayuga County - the state of NY keeps great records.
The Scipio Cemetery is located on a rural road with rolling hills, farm land, homes dotted here and there. The views are breathtaking, the area quiet. Most of the people buried there were probably farmers or provided support for the farming community. The Erie canal was in a town or two north so that area in the finger lakes had advantages afforded a community with better transportation.

Kersey
Did you receive the email that I sent with the list of Kerseys in Jerome who already have photos.

I am not sure who the other Kerseys would be, but I will check nother source to see who else is buried there. Thanks for your time and effort in locating these family members.

Kerseys in Jerome Cemetery
Yes, I would think that all of the Kerseys buried in Jerome are related to our family, but I think we have photos of many of them. Is there a list of those buried in the cemetery there?

Thank you again for another photo from the Jerome Cemetery. James Kersey is my grandfather. I had a photo of his marker but it wasn't as clear as the one you took. Thank you so much.
