|Ruth Ann Gugel||Richard McDole|
Hi. I am Ruth Ann McDole Gugel. My Dad William Joseph McDole was Richards brother. I assume you are related to Helen, Richards last wife. I was curious about Your family. We knew that Helen and Patty Ann moved to California at some point after Uncle Richard was killed. We also knew that Patty Ann had passed away, but were curious about her. My email is email@example.com I am also on face book as RuthAnn McDole Gugel. Let me know if you are interested in information about the McDoles. Thank you

Yes I will take care of removing that. Sorry but right now I don't remember how or why I put that one there. I see it is already pictured for William G. Simons. Sorry for that mistake!

I made a run through the cemetery to see what is there and find only a monument for Morgan and Frank Boyce. I did not find a monument for the kids or for Abram and Sarah Simons. I do not have any information about Harriet for you.
The picture of the monument must have been placed wrong as it is for William G. Simons in a different part of the cemetery.
I am sorry I do not have more or better information for you. Let me know if you have more questions and I will try to answer them.

You are welcome to use any old family photos I have. This is a work in progress - I have hundreds. I went to Oregon summer before last & scanned every old photo I could get my hands on from relatives up there. There are several still unidentified and some I just haven't gotten a chance to match up to online memorials to post to them. Most of my unidentifieds are from Iowa & Nebraska - if things ever slow down we should swap what we have & see if we can make any IDs together.

Thanks very much for the kind words. I liked the picture of Irene and Darlene very much. It reminds me of the relationship between my mother and the first wife of one of her uncles, back in that same time period.

We also added the rest of the Schechter family stones in the cemetery. There maybe a few more we are still working on.

Morgan Boyce: The small metal marker that was there (pictured) is no longer there!
Melissa Boyce: 1873-1942 No marker
Earl Boyce: No marker, no information
Phobe Jane Boyce: Died Sept 21, 1863 Aged 6 years,7 months, 12days
Frank Merton Boyce: Died Oct 3, 1863 Aged 2 years, 3 months, 7 days. Children of AT & PE Boyce (on stone together)
The first meeting of the assoc held in 1891 shows Mr A Boyce voted in as trustee. He was secretary in 1893. In June of 1893 the assoc paid hi $2 for 2 days of labor at the cemetery. Funny stuff!!
We (Mac-husband) and I are meeting with memorial co tomorrow AM to get bid on leveling stones, resetting stones that have fallen from bases. Our plan is to put markers on unmarked graves but probably next summer as we have about 25 unmarked and we leave for TX next week. Hope this helped!

I am working hard at putting this cemetery in order! Find a Grave has saved me numerous trips up there to look at stones. I will continue adding unmarked graves to site; we will be leveling stones & resetting others very soon, Laurel

I know the excitement you are feeling about your discovery. I too have experienced those feelings. Have you ever used familysearch.org? It might be helpful for your genealogy. Good luck. I will keep you posted if I find anything on Charles.

I visit a plot section with the plot list from the cemetery and photograph headstone that are there. Then I set up memorials for all who are in that plot section. If no headstone then they get "unmarked grave". I believe everybody buried in that cemetery deserves a memorial, whether or not they have a gravestone. The next time I go over to Union I will check and see if there is any more info available. If I find anything I will let you know.

|Diana||RE: Samuel Hanlin|
Well! Are you related? I had to check my tree and of course, no, I have no source to John other than what I had heard, so I am most likely wrong on that. I am VERY interested in what you might have on Samuel and his family? Samuel was my 3rd G Grandfather and it's hard to find anything on him. I will take John out and put William in for his father. I would love to hear from you. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks!!

Found your data on Noah Steveson today. He is my g-grandfather through his daughter Annie Mae. Looks like someone has been successful finding his obit, etc. My brother Ron and I went up to Port Royal, found the cemetery where the Isenberg graves are, nothing more.
My aunt Mardelle Crawford Drury and Hazel Steveson Wiese worked to get IDs on all the folks in that big Steveson family pic.
How do you fit in? Care to exchange information?

Clara's mother was Clara Mae (Mills) Harvey who died shortly after her daughter's birth.
Richard then married 2 to Clara Basinger. Notice Clara's date of birth 1873.
I didn't know Clara's middle name was Matilda.Where did you find that information?
Does your side of the family have any pictures of her?
