RE: Corwin Cemetery
If you are not the one who is requesting photos why is your name attached to the request?? I don't care about this other guy or his memorial, he did not request photos you did.

RE: Corwin Cemetery
I have no idea what you are talking about, sorry. I just saw that you wanted photos of two grave stones and I attempted to accomplish this task. Do not know any thing about memorial page or 11 other people.

Corwin Cemetery
I attempted to find this cemetery, unfortunately I saw no way into a cemetery, Beaverbrook Rd. is residential with houses I saw no vacant lot, dirt road or dirt path to go into any kind of cemetery. Do you know if anyone has been to this cemetery. If so how did they get in, I also went down the next block Chapel Ave and again the same situation.

RE: John W Black / Arsula Halleck
The census is messed up. Son John was born 1891 not 1888 and would have been 9 for the 1900 census.
The writing is bad on the dc death date but it is b: Sep 27, 1891 age 23, d: Jan 4, 1914.

So this is the son of John Black and Arsula. Census just recorded him as a Halleck.

David , a fellow on Find A Grave that is a Halleck researcher has been working on Arusla s info, He has a child born to her first husband John Black that is in the 1900 census listed on Ancestry as John Halleck age 11 , there was a John Black that died 4 Jan 1914 we were questioning if this was son or father or neither

Josh was a poor farmer so I doubt there was an obituary , but have a lot of friends that frequent the Briggs library in Ironton that might find one if there was.

I was replying and electric went off 2 times , Thank you for replying I understand about census and the imagew I have from Ancestry & Heritage Quest was very poor quality. Your FHLibrary record had John W as race black , I don't have anything on John Black Sr do you ?

John W Black / Arsula Halleck
Big question you said birthdate was 18 Jun 1890 , in Jun 1900 census said 11 yrs old . If he was 11 in Jun 1900 he would of had to of been born 1889 ?

The census record that is online is very hasrd to make anything out .

RE: Thanks for Trying re Johnston Taylor Photo
Mansfield Cemetery is starting to drive me crazy. Almost every Find-A-Grave request there is for an unmarked grave. The long-time superintendent, who was most helpful in finding burials in this huge, very complex cemetery, suddenly died on Thursday.

Thank you for the well written interesting story. My husband is also a Hallock descendent, but one who stayed on Long Island.
I am a social studies teacher (who read the Laura Ingalls Wilder books) who appreciated the details you put into the story that made the people come alive.

Re: Polly Batterson
Thank you for letting me know I had incorrect dates on Polly's memorial. They have been fixed and I added her death place which is New Canaan. Since you had just Connecticut and I added it as New Canaan, it will be rejected, but I wanted you to know why. It is simply because upon further looking, I had a more accurate place of death. Thank you again for helping me to make her memorial as accurate as possible.
