That's no problem at all. If I can be of any assistance in the future, just let me know :-)
Greetings, Nick.

RE: Chesebrough
Thanks for your quick response. I think I'll contact F.A.G. to have them determine where those listings should be - in Evergreen Cemetery or in Stonington Cemetery. If those that are in Evergreen belong in Stonington Cemetery, then they'll just move it over to that cemetery. Once they let me know what's what, then I'll know how to proceed insofar as my entries. Some of them are not in Evergreen so if they belong there, then I'll just transfer them over; otherwise leave in Stonington; my entries in Stonington that are duplicates in Evergreen, I'll start deleting. Thanks so much for giving me this heads up.

RE: Chesebrough
I just went into Evergreen and I now see listings. So, before I do anything, here's what I need to know: Hale list shows all of these as Stonington Borough Cemetery. I know that eventually that cemetery was renamed Stonington Cemetery. Where does Evergreen Cemetery fit into this?

Name correction for Memorial# Memorial# 71769123
Janet,

I wasn't paying attention to my corrections when I tried correcting this name multiple times..... with the wrong name. If you get an email with Lucretia B Van Buskirk (nee Warfield), that would be the correct name. I do apologize for any confusion.

RE: William Lasher
Hi Jan,
The larger stone was for another family. I can't remember the last name, but it started with "M". I looked up the cemetery records, and William is the only Lasher listed in the entire cemetery. They also have his death date listed as 6/2/1901, however they do not have his burial date listed. Hope that information helps. Let me know if there is something else I can help with.

RE: Annie E. Lasher
Hi,
You are very welcome.
I was going to tell you I added George Sr to Find A Grave but you found him before I was going to tell you.
I was holding off a bit because I found a funeral notice for Annie that told who her relates were. I was trying to see if I could find you an answer as to her maiden name.
We are having the best weather here right now that we have had since last October. It is in the 70's!
I went to the cemetery and got carried away and spent 6 hours up there and was too tired to work on Annie's page anymore when I got home.
I spent another three hours up at the cemetery today and just got back home.
When I am not too tired I will add Annie's funeral notice to her page.
It said she was survived by a sister Kate Fetting.
I found that Kate is buried in Maryland where Annie was from.

Kate's Find A Grave #= 15054432

There is a Thomas Wheatley in that same cemetery that Kate is in

His Find A Grave #= 136829180

His wife is linked to his page and is buried there by him.

RE: Etta Lasher
Hi again,
Much of the information found on Ancestry and similar databases is good, but I still like to find documents to prove what is in those databases. Sometimes I find errors. I use the databases to see what others have found, their documentation, and see if I can find the same documents. If there aren't any documents listed, I look for proof before posting their information. I'm not related to most of the people for whom I create memorial pages, so I stop short of spending money for documents that may give full name, dates and places. The internet, newspaper and a genealogy society are the main places I use to find and verify information. This all keeps me, a retired person, moving and busy. And I like being able to "pay it forward."

RE: Etta Lasher
Hello Janet,
Yes, I was able to get the grave location for Etta and went out to get the photos. An added bonus was to find her buried next to her parents, and I snapped photos of their graves. I was up late, still posting the information until after 1:30 a.m. When I got up this morning, I was able to find and post information from the funeral notices of Etta's parents.

You didn't tell me in what documents you found the information for the year Frank married Viola [2nd wife], 1951, or Frank Lasher's birth place, in Omero [Omro], Wisconsin. Were these found on a database like Ancestry?

Frank & Viola LASHER, 160110085 & 160110095
Hello Janet,
I verify information sent to me on Edits, before I add them to the memorial pages. How are you related to Frank W. LASHER, and or his 2 wives? What documentation do you have for the marriage year for Viola and Frank, and the town where Frank was born in Wisconsin? In 1905, Frank was listed with his parents in Winnebago County, Wisconsin at age 3.

The twin daughters were on the 1940 census as Margaret F. and Elizabeth Mae, both age 9. [Their family probably used nicknames for them, which you gave as Peggy and Betty.]

Viola's maiden name was Lyon [also found Lyons]. Her first husband was Edward B. Hagedorn and they had a couple of children.

Annie E. Lasher
Hi,
You put in a request for pictures of Annie Lasher's grave in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery here in Portland, OR.
Her son George is buried next to her. I don't suppose you could do me a favor and put in a request for pics of his grave too? While I am there I will then clean up his gravestone too so it looks really good and get pics of his grave also.

George's Find A Grave #= 143669167

I noticed I put a note on Annie's page that her husband died in 1917. As soon as the web site I can access newspapers from fixes their "technical" problems I am going to check and see if I can find out if her husband is in this same cemetery. He may be buried by her. There are a couple unmarked gravestones to one side of her grave.
If I do find that George Sr is in this cemetery I will let you know and maybe you would like to make a page for him yourself instead of me doing it? I will see if he has an obit in the paper.
I will transfer Annie and George Jr to you if you want them.

RE: Robert & Hettie Lasher
You're welcome! I did not see any other Lashers, and I didn't notice any Kennedys but I can take another look. There was a bit of empty space around the upright monument so perhaps they are in unmarked graves. My suggestion would be to call the office during the week.

Best regards,

B.J.

Robert & Hettie Lasher
Hello. I am about to fulfill your photo requests and just wanted you to know that I did not find a marker for Robert. I believe he is right next to Hettie, and so I am uploading a photo of the area that shows the location.

Also, there is another Robert E. Lasher buried in that plot (1848-1912). There are two other Lashers: Ada and Edna. I created memorials for them. I hope these additional Lashers are help to your research.

Best regards,

B.J.

Thanks for the info, I'll give it a try.

As for transferring memorials, I'm thinking of that political phrase about "if nominated I will not run, if elected I will not serve"

Like any politician would say something like that.

I do wonder about bumping off and leaving all those memorials with no one attached to them. Only a findagrave member would ponder that. They're going to need a way to deal with it.

Thanks again for the help. Good to hear from you

Do you know how I can send a message to Cindy without having a link to her name? I'm clueless. I'd be glad to transfer Peter to her. There must be a way to search for members, especially if you have their member number, but I don't know how to do it.

I know the "ready to kick the bucket" feeling. I've got over 20,000 memorials. Everytime someone tells me someone is a great grandparent, I transfer them over, whether they ask for the transfer or not.
