RE: Missouri Hazzard and Garret Ackert
Hello. I will some times ask the sexton or call them about my family as they do have records . The news paper look up when you think they dies to see if anything was put in the paper or I typing in the name on search as some times other people are looking for there family that may have your family names & more on your line . History of the name of family & or city, Some times you can find what you are looking for through the Church records , Charlevoix History may pull up some nameshttp://durancefarm.com/content/charlevoix-history Good to read .with many more things some with pictures .Civil war search with so much more . I typed in search that said Garret Ackert passed away Nov. 13,1899 in Charlevoix , Mi. So I think the stones are right Unless you can find a Death Certificate .This is the best I can do for you as I have a very bad cold , Good luck in your searching . Bye Rick

RE: Nehemiah Woodruff
Hi Barb - I am planning on heading to the library this week to see if I can get a copy. The one at the cemetery is on a big board and did not photograph well. I thought I saw it on this site, but of course now I can't find it. Will advise. Sara

Thanks Barb
We are just trying to identify those that served in the military so we can place a flag on the grave for Memorial Day. Many that served in the military have no indication on their grave site and the office does not have this information either. So we ask all that we can (have left virtual flowers, a picture or are a contributor of a memorial etc) if they know of anyone that has served.
Thank you again for helping us!

Will check the order of photos.

Went to Flaxton for the centennial a few years back. Very

William Batchelder Greene
You are very welcome, I am very glad you like my postings. In my Civil War collection, I have a few photographs from Col. Greene's unit, including one of him, which I posted on his memorial. After I got them, I went to a library and looked at the book titled HISTORY OF THE FIRST REGIMENT OF HEAVY ARTILLERY, MASSACHUSETTS VOLUNTEERS... by Alfred Seelye Roe (1917), for details on the unit and their men. In the back of that book, there is a roster on the unit, and Col. Greene is on the roster on pages 333-34, which I believe is where it said where he is buried. After I got involved with Find a Grave, I posted his memorial under that cemetery. Find a Grave lists that cemetery's website as http://www.foresthillscemetery.com/ and has that cemetery's telephone number as 617-524-0128, if you want to look for any other Greene graves there. If you are looking for Greene genealogy, you could search it on the web, and you might find one or more websites on them.

Best wishes,
Leon

ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one entombed there or no of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

I've had that same thing happen to me on newer memorials where I searched under the last name in the cemetery, even spelling it right and wrong, and it will show up a week or so later - or sometime not at all. Thank you for all your work on Find A Grave! Sue

Here is another picture from St. Joseph Cemetery in Council Bluffs. The gravestone has a birth date listed on it, so you can update that info on your memorial page if you like.

I have created memorial 120797811 for her. You can look at the photo and determine if correct. Again she is buried at the foot of the Scott marker-just to left in photo.

RE: Scott Memorials
I will have to check my tree and see.
There was one other marker on that plot. It was at the foot of the SCott plot marker. As best I can tell the name on it was Jean G Ther(8/5/1861-
8/4/1955) it is a funeral home marker so hard to read.I didnt know what to do with it. Suggestions?

Margaret W
RE: Wilmeth Family
Hi BJW Wilmeth?
My name is Margaret (Jeanette) Wilmeth,. My father was Dwight X Wilmeth (1020-1964) and is was buried not far from North Platte, NE @ Ft McPherson National Cemetery. His father was Howard Harlan Wilmeth, the son of William Harrison. I think that my grandfather (HHW) was a brother to Frank Lincoln . And I think that Hal was a son to Dr Frank, as his gravestone reports. I've actually done a fair amount of research on Frank L, and the activities he had with the Eclectic School of Medicine, a once popular competitor to what we know know as general medicine (The Allopathic School of Medicine) The turn of the century was a grab bag for control as authoritative medicine was trying to claim a niche, and it could well have taken any turn. Truthfully, all of those schools were largely based upon old wives tales (and this is coming from a white haired old woman!) and not scientific or evidence based. It appears that some of his sons, including Hal, also went into medicine. I have physicians on both sides of my ancestry, including a grandfather who rode with saddlebags to mountain homes in Tennessee. I am an advanced nurse practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife, so some of this remains interesting to me.
About 2 years ago I began our family tree on Ancestry.com and slowly have entered data on FindAGrave.com And within the last few months, I've started entering both requested and random gravesite photos on Findagrave also. Most of my entries are not claimed by me, and no one really knows who I am, nor do I wish to claim any credit for any of it.
In September, I was able to visit some remaining family in Nebraska, a cousin named Dale Harlan Wilmeth in particular, and some of his family joined me, and we were able to share some stories. My email is Margaret.Wilmeth@gmail.com, if you care to write more directly. Maybe we can even speak on the phone?
Can you tell me a little more about yourself, and your interest on this website? til then~

Here's another picture from St Joseph Cemetery for a memorial page that you manage. Looks like the page can now be updated with birth date and complete death date.

Looks like his wife is buried next to him, and I created a page for her (119219225). If these are your relatives, I'd be happy to transfer her memorial page over to you.

Hill
My wife and I photographed all of the headstones in Section E of St. Joseph Cemetery in Council Bluffs, and I am in the middle of the slow process of getting them all uploaded to the Find-a-Grave website.

I uploaded pictures to a person whose pages you manage, and there were a few of others who were also buried in that same area whose pages you don't manage.

So, I don't know if you manage William Hill because you're researching him, or if you just entered him as you help out other folks. But I thought I would send you a quick note so you knew there were some new pictures available in case you were interested.

These are the Hills I've added pictures for thus far. I still have almost 1,000 pictures still to go through, so who knows what else I'll find. :)
