No, I've never heard of one anywhere in Greene County but Fairborn is in a corner bordered by Clark and Montgomery Counties and there may be, or have been one, somewhere in the area.

The cemetery is "Fairfield" which existed before the towns of Fairfield and Osborn merged in 1950. The Catholic church had a cemetery at the edge of town and the village decided to create Fairfield along side it. Smaller graveyards were eventually translated to the municipal cemetery. It has always been known as Fairfield except for the catholic section which is now maintained by the city even though the church still owns their section and uses the same name.

Hi, I would have taken that picture some time in the Spring of 2011 or so. I used to drive around the area and take pictures of whatever stone someone requested or any that just interested me and post them here. Glad it helped you in your research.

RE: Rector connections
I think now this is who you're referring to Frances A Glascock Goddard
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=96035156.

Frances was not a Rector but a Glascock from her mother Mary Hendren's Find A Grave Memorial# 96017363 1st marriage to John Glascock and her 2nd marriage to Henry Rector Find A Grave Memorial# 96017306. Mary Hendren then married Joshua Gore and died under the name Gore.

Frances did have 1/2 sibling Rector's

Tell me what you know about Frances A Rector and then I might be able to help. There is a lot of erroneous information out there on our Rector's

Sally,
I have transferred per your request. I'm always glad to see family picking up memorials I started. If there is anything else that you need help with let me know I would be happy to do look-up for you.

RE: William Aldrich
I have a distant relationship to his second wife Elizabeth Sawdy, so I don't have very much information on William. As far as I can tell, he was in Erie County, PA by about 1835 and resided there until his death. I can find no relation to Wisconsin.

RE: Aldrich family
Sally,
Our families do indeed intersect; albeit, I am not sure to what extent they associated. Both of our Aldrich families were in Spring Prairie, Walworth, Wisconsin at overlapping times. My gg-gf bought his farm there in 1847. I believe this was before Cyrel and his family arrived. I'd love to share information and maybe we can figure out if there was a closer relationship besides proximity.

Loved your note to Gravewalker re Jane. I looked up her husband John Melvin Potter but she isn't mentioned or linked to him - same for their son that you mention. Are they not in Find A Grave? Would love to have them all connected. Great story.

I will keep an eye out for Mary (first wife, mother of Sarah). You might consider adding her name into the bio line of Sarah's memorial OR her husband's memorial - you never know when someone will take the right photograph in the right cemetery and will be able to link them all together.

I had come across the Humphrey genealogy on one occasion when I was researching other Humphreys - I couldn't find a birth year on someone. When something isn't right with parents' deaths or birth years, etc - I often cross-reference with Ancestry or a general internet search before entering dates/placed of birth, etc. I hope my entries are as accurate as I can possibly get them.

RE: Sarah Potter
Sally - all the information is going onto Find A Grave. My theory was that those who wished to follow their family but could not afford an Ancestry subscription nor still live in the area where their ancestors lived, this would be almost their only source other than FamilySearch.org. I am in the "P's" of entering these deaths from a microfilm. There are over 12,000 entries - many of which no longer have tombstones since their deaths were so long ago and the tombstones are no longer standing because I also go out into the cemeteries to take photos. Fortunately, one gullible woman by the name of Joyce DeLong offered to help me so we might actually finish this project yet this year. I am eternally grateful for her help. Everything I find is on the memorials I create or I send edits, asking others to add parents/husbands under the "bio" section until they are found and can be linked to their other family members. I am hoping they honor this request.

Your kind words are the stuff that keeps me going and the push to finish this project - thank you.

Sally - I am transcribing Wisconsin Deaths & Burials records (Walworth County) onto Find A Grave so that everyone can have a proper burial location so that their family can find them. This was one of those records and the parents were listed on her death record - thus my edit to you. I try to pass along everything that I find, just in case it will help others with tracing their family history. You can do what you wish with the edit request because you know your history. I was just passing along the information that I found. I am not related - just a local researcher who took on this project.

Hi Sally. No problem - Happy to help a colleague! It's amazing how so many young people did not make it to adulthood back then. And that's not even counting the wars! Jeff

Knisely photo request at Ottawa Hills Cemetery
Greetings! This cemetery will not give out grave locations to photographers, citing privacy reasons. With thousands of burials, a location is necessary. Please call their office at 419-536-8321 to get the location. I go there at least once a week when the office is closed to do the requests. Thanks!

Mary Katherine Knisely Pearson
Hi Sally,
I'm trying to locate the grave site of Mary Katherine. There is another Mary C. Pearson in the Scipio Cemetery, #67992682 Could this be the same person, but with the wrong middle initial and death date? She is in the same section as Albert and the other Pearson families, and the stones all seem to match. I'd like to connect all the family members.
