Francis Mangone Headstone Picture
Hello Lucy. Just a note to say 'Thank You' for taking the time to go to the cemetery and take a picture of PFC Francis Mongone's Headstone. Francis would have been a member of our graduating class of January 1952, Dickinson High School, Jersey City, NJ. But he joined up during the Korean War and just four months shy of our class graduation in January 1952, he was killed in action.
He was remembered in our Yearbook 'The Gnome'.

Picture Thank you & Request
Hi Lucy,
Thanks so much for the picture you took at Hillside Cemetery. But it's for the OTHER Madeline in our family: Madeline Pauline Bauer Phelan who was born 1881 and died in 1940. Could you shift the picture from Madeline DeVorsey's page to Madeline Phelan's memorial page in the same cemetery?
You're a dear. Thanks again!
So great to have help when I'm in South Carolina so far away!

RE: Hillside Cemetery - Rutherford
Thank your Lucy for that explanation about the Hillside cemetery. I thought it was sorta weird that there was only two listings for the one listed in Rutherford. Thank you for your time and there is really no hurry.

RE: Phelan
Lucy,
Found the Phelan picture on Archie Phelan's memorial page. Thanks SO much! It's a good idea about adding the other memorials! I will do that today. The stone for Mother who died in 1929 will be the memorial for Mary Kruger Phelan, Archie's first (of three) wives. Marie Bauer Phelan who died in 1940 was Archie's second wife. His third wife, Louise Bauer Phelan (sister of Marie), should have an inscription on the Phelan marker but does not.
Thanks again,
Ruth DeVorsey

RE: Phelan
Hi,
Really appreciate your getting the picture of the Phelan gravestone. Did you get a shot from the front where you can read the word Phelan? The label at the bottom says it was taken at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery...that's not right, is it? Would love to see the stones for the three smaller stones. They are all family.
Thanks so much!
Ruth

Thanks for the photos
Terrific! I learned a lot from Avery Denison's family stone. Besides spelling edits, I created an Find A Grave memorial for his other daughter Maria (116783543), who married James Beach. Could you please attach the stone photo to her as well? Many thanks.

Thomas Gorney
He is buried in the Highton plot. His name is not on the marker. Could you post the Highton stone photo? I know he is buried there as per the cemetery's response to my letter. He is buried at the head of grave #2, above Evelyn's grave (I believe this to be her grandson). Thank you!

Allman Graves
Hi Lucy,

I just heard from the cemetery with further directions to the Allman graves, but there is no marker so no point in going back. They also confirmed that there are no markers on the Riker graves and the Clarence Dabinett grave either. So I thank you very much for the time you spent on my behalf....

Most sincerely,

Most probably... I will have to do a little more research. Mahalo nui loa for taking the other pictures and searching for the graves. I will contact the cemetery staff to ask about the Allman grave site. Iʻm sure it was more than chilly out there today! I really appreciate your efforts.... happy new year!

Thanks, Lucy. I just added pages and sent requests for John Allman and Sophia Riker. There is also one there for Marie/Mamie Dabinett... would you take that one also? I so appreciate your taking the time to take these photos for me. Happy Holidays!

Lucy,

I see that you have claimed my requests at Hillside Cemetery.... thank you so much! While you are there could you check for May Dabinett Riker and her husband, Leonard Riker; Elizabeth Dabinett Marks and her husband, Harry Marks; and Gladys Dabinett Allman and her husband, John (Jack) Allman? I will try to call the cemetery tomorrow then will add their pages and will put in a photo request. Thank you soooo much! These folks are my great grand aunts and uncles....siblings of one of my great grandfathers.
