When you see the stone it will make sense. Just change the e at the end to o.

RE: Violet E Wessel
Hello Jen,
they are about nine or ten graves from each other, my Dad thought it was nice idea for family to put her in same cemetery and he like the way they did the up keep there. the stone is what uncle Jim and I bought. Dad had hard time with mom's death so I told him we would do it.
oh ok I didn't know they only list children who are gone, thought be nice if others new of more family. but no mom never ever would of wanted to be buried next to him. and my father is at new port Oregon Eureaka cemetery hope I spelled it right. he is buried by his mother and father in family plot.

Spelling...
Jen, ooops, I almost added Mamie and Thomas again! The marker is ChristiansOn and you are using Christiansen.
Would you consider matching the marker? I don't think anyone would pay for a marker if it was spelled different than what the people used...so I go with the marker if there is different dates or spelling. Your thoughts?

Thomas...
Jen, I did not enter a memorial for Thomas - thought you might want to do that. Also, the marker shows Mamie died Jan 10, 1975.

Dear Jen, Susanna Engle Deal, Find A Grave Memorial #112416680, was the daughter of Clemens Engle. Could you please add her to Clemens memorial? Clemens was my 3rd great grandfather. Thanks. Jay Shaw (#48003331)

Thank you for helping with the links to Walter's parents. After I requested that, I found that Walter is also posted in Hubbard Cemetery, Marion County, Oregon, as are his parents. I have written to the person who posted those sites about combining information.

Shepherd/Vanmeter genealogy
Jan,

My wife is a 5th Great Grandniece of Elizabeth Vanmeter Shepherd (1715 - 1792). Since my mother-in-law died, I have taken over the reseach of my wife's family history. To say the least, I have a long ways to go, as her mother had a lot of information, but did not document from where she found much of it. Willing to exchange information if you are interested.

Re: Carrie Anderson
Hi Jen,

I know how difficult it is when you have limited information. If my hunch is correct then the Clara and Bernard Seaman in the Jersey City Cemetery are in my family tree. Who was Carrie Anderson married to? I can look on the Anderson branch in my tree to see if there is any helpful information.

RE: Isabella Matson
Jen,

I have talked with the folks up at Oak Hill Cemetery and you and your family can add a small headstone for Isabella right in front of Ang's. It would be a 12x12 with a vase. It would cost about $695. I have a sketch if you want me to e-mail it to you.

Hope all is wonderful in your world!!

Blessings,

Liz

Anderson, Jersey City Cemetery
Hi,

You left flowers on the memorial for Carrie Anderson, buried in the Jersey City Cemetery. I was wondering if you knew of any relation to Clara S. Anderson buried with Bernard L Anderson, also in this cemetery. My great-grandfather's sister, Clara Seaman was married to a Bernard Anderson. The dates on their headstone are within a few years of the dates I have.

I just wanted find out if there was a connection.

Thank you!

I do have a picture of Ange Standifer's headstone if you would like it posted for Isabella. She did not have any kind of a marker to say she was there but the office shows that she is. Let me know what you would like for me to do.

RE: Hibben/Woodruff
Jen,
I realized after I got your last message that he was a veteran. I will check it out the next time I'm in Wilmington, but I didn't see a flag near his marker. I can get one from my AM Legion post to put on his grave if there isn't one. I want to see all Veterans to have a flag.

I'll let you know when I find out and will change the photo when I can.

Arnolds in Monticello cemetery
Hi Jen, I saw your photo request for Old Monticello Cemetery. Have you seen this Genweb site? http://skyways.lib.ks.us/genweb/archives/johnson/cemeteries/monticello.txt
It says it is a complete list of all legible stones in the cemetery in 2005, with the addition of some from a 1970 survey. I'm not going to claim him for now, but I'll try to get over and see if the illegible Civil War marker is near the other Arnolds. That looks like the one possibility.
