|LefflerResearcher||RE: Kate Boone|
Hi Sherri - I found the marriage on the Illinois Marriages website that is an Illinois governmant site hosted by Jesse White, Secretary of State. Since it does not list parents or dates of birth there is no way of verifying that it is the right Kate Boone but it gives a Kate Boone marrying L.C. McNeely in Fayette County on 03 Aug 1892. You would then expect her gravestone to read Kate McNeely. There was a McNeely family in Loudon Twp. but I did not find a son that would match the L.C. initials. I guess a trip to the courthouse in Vandalia might be needed. I have lots on the Leffler family. Too much to send through here. You can contact me direct at email@example.com

I found a marriage for a Kate Boone to L C McNeely on 03 Aug 1892. Is this the same Kate Boone? Apparently a married name is not on the stone you have listed. I research the Leffler family and the Boones you have listed are part of that family. Let me know if you are interested in the Leffler ancestors of these Boones and I would be glad to share information with you.

|Roger G Perkins||Mary Polly Huffman|
Barbara Dalby provided documentation that Christian Christopher Musser married Mary Polly Huffman. Her notes indicate this appeared in the "Reporter Records," a newspaper in Washington, PA 1808-1825, Washington County, PA Marriage and Deaths. On page 22, Christopher Musser married to Mary Huffman of Somerset by Henry McQuire Esq.on 16 March 1820. Mrs. Dalby sent this information to me 13 October 2007. In related correspondence, she told me that she had discover this documentation. She notes that she read some of it in 1975. I have elected to conclude that this Christopher Musser was not married to a Mary Abrams as many family trees indicate.
Further information comes from a descendant of her daughter, Luzrbia Musser Beale. Greg Humphrey has also confirmed this information.
Mary Abrams was not our Christopher's wife.

I'll look for them the next time I am there. My 3 brothers are buried there so I go fairly often but it is a very large cemetery. I have to go when the office is open to ask for help. I'll see what I can do.
