RE: Pliny H Fales
Hi Ian,
It was my pleasure.

I'm currently working on making sure ALL Veterans in Erie County have a memorial on Find-a-Grave. This should keep me busy for a couple more years at least. ^_^

Here's MY Civil War ancestor:
Orrin L. Gatchell

Happy New Year,
Rich

RE: Wallace Combs
Thank you Ian. Someday, perhaps, someone will be looking for Wallace and his family. Your cemetery work and those links may help connect to a whole new world of ancestors.

RE: Jennie Eastman
Hi,
I have checked the records I was transcribing from and did not find the surname listed. I am sorry I must have been dreaming when I added the surname. I am glad you caught the error.

RE: Bert Peck
You are welcome. I did add Emma Peck to findagrave.com, but I did not notice any other Peck's buried nearby. A phone number was listed for a point of contact for the cemetery if you are interested in having that. Best wishes, Jon Hart.

John, If you want to email me at Carole64Bl@yahoo.com I will send you the division of the Fales lot as given to me by the Erie Cemetery Office clerk. It shows the exact placement of the burials and who is where in the lot. This way I can attach a copy or at least cut & paste a copy to you. Carole

RE: Memorial Transfer
Hi,
I have transfered the memorials except one which I did not enter and the person is inactive so you will have to ask Find A Grave.
It is easier for me to transfer memorials if you use the "edit" button in upper right hand corner and provide your contributor number.

RE: Re: Thank You!
John, I have questioned the Cemetery records twice and the clerk also thought at least one of them had a stone but none was found. Wether the stones had been vandalized and destroyed or what we don't know. The clerk did give me a copy of the placement of the burials which I can send you a copy. In the Lot #21 of Section Q there are (5) Fales, (1) Gardner, (1) Faley, (1) Jackson and (1) Walters =9 graves in all Next time I go I will try and dig further into this problem and see what I can find out for you.

RE: Thank You!
Your quite welcome! It seems that your ancestors didn't believe in headstones. Or maybe they were in a hardship and couldn't afford them, as a couple of places that had "Fales" family burial lots, were barren of headstones or markers of any kind. Although, I found Marie & Oscar Fales in the Family lot of PORSCH and FOURSPRING. Therefore, I do have photos of the Monuments & Individual markers for the following: Oscar H (1902-1963), Susan R (1853-1946), Frederick (1858-1915), Elizabeth C. (1860-1931) & William PORSCH (1855-1911) Charles H. (1887-1923), Louise (1865-1931), John H. FOURSPRING (1861-1911) If any of the above are your relatives I can add the photos after you add them to Find a Grave with their information. Let me know. Carole

RE: Thank You!
Your welcome! When I get a chance to go back over to the Cemetery, I will look again. The Cemetery lists 13 Fales in their care at Erie. I am listing them: Child of L.S., Charles, Charles W., fem child of George, Florence E, George W, Grace Ruth, Kate J, Marie Elizabeth, Mary J, Mary L, Oscar Adolph, and P.H. If need be I have the dates and cemetery locations for the aove if you need them. Hope this helps! Carole

Michael Cassara
Walsh grave
Hi there,

I was able to find the grave you requested in Calvary Cemetery. I did not see any graves with the name "Seitz" in the surrounding area, but it's quite likely that "Baby Seitz" is buried in this same grave and just not listed in the plot. Please "Request A Photograph" for Edward Walsh, and I will add this photo to that page as well. Best, Michael
